Historical house on river Vecht

Jacuzzi for rent until March 10th 2022! Unique Teahouse directly on the historical river, 'de Vecht'. Free parking. Utrecht and Amsterdam can easily be reached by car or public transport. You can also reach us by boat, berths available onsite. An open boat can be rented with or without skipper to explore the environment on water. Also suitible for a longer stay for expats, washing machine and dryer available. We can arrange for a rental E-bike or normal bike. Kitchen, micro wave, watercooker and Nespresso machine available. Our houses was built in 1985, in 17th century style. Classic teahouses where built in this era to show off that you could afford tea. However original teahouses are very small and not suited to live in. The original owner built the house in traditional style, but with extra floors and also larger. Along the river Vecht many traditional teahouses can be seen. The basement in an original teahouse is a mooring place for a small boat. In our house it is the living room, the living room is half under water. Please notice that the stairs are steep. The guests can access the whole house Tijdens je verblijf zijn we beschikbaar voor vragen! Maarssen is located in The Vechtstreek, an area that became famous because of the 17th century buildings and unique atmosphere along the river. Excellent cycling and walking opportunities Parking space available in the street Wilhelminaweg. In the rare case the street is crowded, of if you have a car with trailer there is parking space across the street, there is a 50 meter path to access our house Amsterdam is 30 minutes by car. Utrecht is 15 minutes by car. There is a bus stop at 200 meters from our house, that leads to Utrecht directly (25 minutes), and to train station Breukelen (10 minutes, then train to Amsterdam in 25 minutes). As we are situated along the river, you can moor your boat directly at our site. Maximum length of the boat 20 meters, and depth 1,9 meter. As our house is directly situated on the river, be carefull with children that cannot swim. We have two life vests available. The stairs in our house are pretty steep.
