Quiet, private country atmosphere, a peaceful retreat with space for the whole family and extended family to spread out and enjoy together. The townships of Rangiora, Kaiapoi and Woodend with shops, supermarket , cafes and restaurants a short drive away. Woodend Beach within walking distance , surrounded by extensive walking and biking tracks and wildlife reserves . All this just a short 15-20 minute drive from the airport and from Christchurch city. Large living areas with ranch sliders out to the verandah and large garden. All living areas and bedrooms are freshly painted and redecorated . The main living area has a heat pump and a log burner...wood supplied . Enjoy the ambience of the log burner on cold winter nights and don't forget to check out the spectacular night sky on clear nights. Upstairs , the master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom , another queen sized bedroom and the single bedroom share a bathroom . There is another half bathroom downstairs. The queen bedroom downstairs has an ensuite bathroom and ranch slider out to the verandah and garden. The house has a wrap around verandah and uninterrupted garden views . The extensive gardens featuring mature trees , maples, rhododendrons , camelias and native flaxes attract a multitude of bird life and bird song. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, gas hobs, dishwasher and microwave. Pots, pans, dishes etc all provided. The dining table seats 8 comfortably. There is play equipment for the children and a cot, highchair, fire and stair guards are all available on request. There are shops and restaurants with easy parking a short drive away; multiple supermarkets , cafes and restaurants in close proximity. The historic Waikuku mill complex with Brick Mill Cafe, artist's quarter and Gallery, glass studio, and car museum are worth a visit. Pegasus and Kaiapoi both have golf couses. We are happy for guests to self check in and enjoy their stay but we are available at any time if needed. Neighbourhood highlights include Pegasus township and golf course . Kaiapoi river township is home to the Kaiapoi River Queen. You can dine on board and take a river cruise. Kaiapoi has supermarkets , cafes ,bars and restaurants , a golf course and library , just 5 minutes drive away. Rangiora , 10 minutes away also has everything you need, supermarkets , restaurants cafes and bars, and fast food outlets. Rangiora Bakery is one of the most known bakeries in New Zealand. Having won many NZ Baker of the Year titles over the years, this has evolved to the creation of the food destination "Artisan". With two floors of seating, the Artisan has become an icon for food lovers . The Bunker Cafe & Bar at Pegasus Golf & Sports Club offers a cosy atmosphere, good food and superb service in a picturesque setting....a favourite place for rounding off a game with a cold drink on the patio, a spot of lunch, a chat over coffee, or an excellent evening out. Its also just a short walk from the heart of Pegasus Town and only minutes north of Christchurch. Ohoka Farmers Market is about good food. Food/plant artisan stallholders gather in the Ohoka Domain every Friday from 9am - 12.30pm all year, to sell their locally grown and crafted fresh produce. From organic bread to rare breeds. Less than 10 minutes from Kaiapoi and Rangiora. Join us for a coffee and fill up your pantry with fresh weekend goodies. Travelling north you can visit multiple award winning wineries . One hour's drive away is Hanmer Springs with the fabulous hot pools, spa and sauna facilities and now the largest water slide in the country ..something for everyone... old and young alike. Rangiora, Woodend and Kaiapoi are an easy 5 - 10 minute drive away and parking is easy.
