Home Flat House

Home Flat House is located on a 1,000 acre, working shorthorn cattle and merino sheep property which features a picturesque rural outlook alongside the Campaspe River. The 3 bedroom house is nestled in the beautiful undulating farmland found along the Campaspe River, and is an ideal setting for a relaxing break or as a base from which to explore Central Victoria. The house, which can accommodate 5 people, comprises 3 bedrooms (2 x queen bedrooms, 1 x single bedroom), galley style kitchen, bathroom with separate toilet, dining area, lounge room with wood fire, laundry and a rear deck with sweeping views across the farm. There is a fenced garden and beyond that, plenty of space to explore. Only a 10 minute drive to the local townships of Axedale or Goornong, 20 minutes to Elmore and less than 30 minutes to Bendigo or Heathcote, it is a perfect spot from which to enjoy all that central Victoria has to offer. The house sits atop a gentle hill overlooking one of the Campaspe river flats on the property. Guests can enjoy the ambience of the house and its yard and are also welcome to explore the surrounding paddocks and the river (please make sure you close the gates behind you if you decide to venture out and you may wish to bring gum boots to wear while exploring). A comfortable house, fully equipped kitchen and use of all property amenities are available to you during your stay. Standard provisions include milk, tea & coffee and for breakfast we provide bread and farm fresh eggs from our free range hens (sufficient to cover the first morning of your stay). The kitchen includes an oven, refrigerator, kettle, toaster and microwave, and cookware and utensils are provided. There is also a gas barbecue available. All linen and towels are provided. The house is fully self-contained with its own access down a driveway off the main road. Tractors and livestock are a part of our normal daily life. You may see us from the distance checking the cattle or sheep, otherwise the place is yours to enjoy in peace. Home Flat House is located well away (about 600m) from the main farm house for guests that want to have their own privacy and space to relax and unwind.
