Wyberba Station - Homestead

Wyberba Station is a renovated Queenslander style home, situated on 28 acres. The house is only minutes down the road from the gorgeous Girraween National Park so it is a perfect base for those who love the outdoors - yet love the comfort of home also. With enough room for friends and family, you'll love spending time by the fire and seeing the sights! In the midst of wine country, Wyberba Station is a 20 minute drive south of Stanthorpe. It's situated next to the site of the old Wyberba Railway Station. To get there, turn onto Pyramids Road or follow the turn off for the Girraween National Park. Wyberba Station had been set up as a fully functioning 3 bedroom house. The house has a wood combustion heater - ideal for cold winter nights. Alternatively, there is also a reverse cycle air conditioner if you'd prefer. The Granite Belt region gets cold in winter - so don't forget your warm socks! We are located on 28 acres, which has a number of old farm trails - so we've created a 1km bush walk through the property which leads past Accommodation Creek - which is perfect for picnics. Of an evening, you'll be able to sit by the fire, drink wine and watch the Kangaroos and Wallaby's come in to feed. Whether its for star gazing or bird watching - this property is a tranquil place to rest and recuperate. Whilst we have all the kitchen equipment you'll need, however we don't provide any Food or Drinks - please BYO. (Basic Tea/Coffee provided) The area has recently been hit with fire and drought - but don't worry, our property has largely been unaffected (except for the brown grass of course). The Girraween National Park is still open, and updates can be found on: (Website hidden by Airbnb) There is no specific allocated parking on the property - just park on the grass. Unfortunately, we don't live nearby and are unable to fulfil special requests. We are however happy to make recommendations for local businesses and actives. We have a couple of wineries down the road. They include the Pyramid Road Winery and Bald Rock Winery. Unfortunately Wyberba Station is too remote for public transport. The local grocery store is at the Ballandean General Store. They sell all the basics including bread, milk and groceries. There is also Woolworths/Aldi in Stanthorpe for a bigger shop!
