A 150 year old traditional Parsi 'courtyard' home in the heart of Bhuj. One of 4 ensuite guest rooms set with restored furniture and beautiful Kutchi fabrics. Opens on to the inner courtyard; a peaceful retreat from the town's bustling environment. One of the house's original bedrooms, which interconnects with the rest of the house. A large bedroom with twin beds that can be joined to make a comfortable double. One door leads to an annexe room which can be used as a private living space or as an extra bedroom. The second door leads into the ensuite bathroom and a third door opens on to the inner courtyard. At the centre of the courtyard is an open pantry where breakfast is served and where you can help yourself to tea, coffee and snacks anytime. Lunch and dinner can be provided with prior notice. Our guests have their own entrance to the house via the hitchka or swing room which is a great place to relax with the newspaper! There's a common lounge where books and local info are kept, and access to a computer and wifi. Family members stay at the house regularly and the house is fully staffed to cater to your needs. Bhuj is a small town, busy by day, sleepy by night. Once a rural suburb of the walled city, our area is now typical of urban India: congested and noisy! We're located a walk or short tuk-tuk hop away from Bhuj's historical sites and shopping areas. Tuk-tuks are available right outside the house, so getting around is easy. We can organise someone to stick with you for the whole morning or evening so you can weave around Bhuj's narrow lanes, navigating with a heritage map of the town, halting at some recommeded chai, juice and snack stops and great little shops! We can help organise your local excursions around Bhuj, the surrounding craft and textile villages, wildlife areas and historic sites of Kutch.
