COVID CLEANED. Self Check in. Private Suite of 3 bright sunny rooms with views to secluded garden & bushland beyond. Terrace, gas BBQ, outdoor lounge & dining, relax overlooking the garden. 1 Bedroom, double bed with pillowtop mattress, quality linen. Portacot available; trundle bed available at extra cost. Ensuite bathroom. Living room with TV & kitchenette but no sink- we do your washing up. See photos. Excellent Breakfast provisions. Walks, lookouts, cafes, restaurants & shops nearby. The suite is private, sunny, bright, very quiet and relaxing, and has everything you will need. One bedroom, a large bathroom with shower over the bathtub, a living room with "kitchenette" but no sink (leave the washing up for us), and a terrace with gas BBQ, outdoor fire pit during winter, and a garden with a section featuring convict bricks and David Austin Roses. There's tables and chairs to view the rose garden or you can sit in other sections of the garden. A discount for additional nights may be possible - ask me. Access to the Suite is completely separate and is down some easy grade steps. A breakfast comprising croissants & butter, muesli, cereals, oats, 1L milk, tea & coffee, etc. is usually provided. While the Suite is separate, self-contained and private, it is linked to the upper floor residence by an internal staircase that is screened by a curtain and a door. We are mid-mountains ("Above the smog, below the fog"), with a lovely private bush outlook from the rooms and the pleasant BBQ terrace and with plenty of dining and lounge seating amidst the garden; you can picnic under the trees and enjoy the serenity. Further down there is a seasonal creek, and you can bush walk directly from the property. It's an easy walk to the village cafes, restaurants and shops, or more local bushwalks such as Blue Gum Swamp, etc. We are a 25 minute drive or train to the restaurants, shops and attractions of Leura, and Katoomba having the Three Sisters, World Skyway, Cableway and Railway - the steepest in the world! We are also about 25 minutes from Penrith Lakes and Whitewater Rafting; and the same to the Hawkesbury Area - Richmond, Windsor and a little further to Pitt Town and Wiseman's Ferry, or up the Mountains to Kurrajong, Bilpin (Orchards) and Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens. Easy grade steps down to the suite. You will enjoy the terrace with seating and large gas BBQ with wok side burner; the garden with more seating in the sun or shade as you choose, or take a short walk into the bushland. The sunny living room has a TV and DVD player, books and games; a "kitchenette" with microwave, refrigerator, toaster and kettle (see the photos) and crockery & cutlery. The washing up is to be stacked in the yellow dish from the 4th drawer for me to take care of. Breakfast provided. The spacious bedroom has a double bed, and a trundle if required for an extra guest or if you don't want to share the double bed (if the latter please also book for 3 to allow for the extra cost of the single bed). Both beds have inner spring mattresses, the double with a pillow top. Quality bed linen will be on the bed, with an electric blanket in winter. Extra pillows and blankets are also provided. There is a heater and a ceiling fan. There is a large ensuite bathroom with a shower; a fan for summer; heating, Egyptian/quality cotton towels, a mirrored vanity and heated towel rail. There is no laundry access, but we may be able to do a load of washing for you on request for lengthy stays. If you require an iron and ironing board, please ask. We require notice at the time of booking if you require the trundle bed or the portacot. The trundle bed cannot be provided at late notice. We will appreciate quiet after 10.00pm Sunday to Thursday; and after midnight on Friday and Saturday nights, and provide the same for you. We will also appreciate you following the instructions provided, and leaving the Suite reasonably clean and tidy. You will find a broom, dust pan and mop in the robe if you need to use them. Please do not put the blinds up in the bedroom (just open and close them or adjust the louvres) and please do not move any of the furniture whatsoever. The couch is not to be used as a bed. Please treat the Suite, Terrace and Garden with care and respect: it is, after all, my home. I like to meet my guests briefly, if possible on arrival, or on that day if it can be arranged, although I am not making a point of this during Covid. I otherwise don't like to intrude, preferring to leave guests to enjoy their stay. If there is a problem of any kind, or I can assist you in any way, please contact me immediately. I just want happy guests who enjoy their stay. We love meeting new people when we travel, overseas or within Australia, and are open to sharing some time with you - time permitting - or leaving you to enjoy your stay doing your own thing! The suite backs on to the end of the Grose Valley, so is bushland with a seasonal creek. It is a quiet, safe neighbourhood. The Suite and the garden are quite private and peaceful. There are bush walks; and there is a coffee shop about a 5 minute walk away. It is 1K to a Coles supermarket, pharmacy, specialty shops, cafes and Winmalee Tavern, less to a garage, bottle shop and fish & chip takeaway. There's a doctor and a dentist close by. The golf course Country Club & Brasserie is a 2 minute drive. Springwood has restaurants, shops, a library and art gallery, and the train station. There is an hourly bus that takes just 5 mins into Springwood. The train can take you west to Katoomba or rural Bathurst or Orange; or east to Penrith, Blacktown, Parramatta, the City and the Airport. There is a multi storey carpark at the railway at Springwood, and several car parks and on street parking within the Village. Pick up or drop off locally may be possible. There are local car & camper rental firms. Springwood has good taxi services. Buses run hourly from Springwood to Winmalee. While Winmalee & Springwood have enough bush walking trails, scenic lookouts and places of interest, Blaxland is 10 mins away where there is the first road over the Mountains at Mitchell's Pass built in 1814-15, with the oldest surviving bridge in Australia. Another 5 minutes to Glenbrook's Blue Pool and Red Hands Cave (Aboriginal paintings). Faulconbridge is about 8 minutes up the highway and has famous artist & writer Norman Lindsay Gallery and Cafe. Lapstone has the Bridge ZigZag Walking Track and Lookout; Penrith, 20-30 minutes east, has the Regatta Centre, Whitewater Rafting, Indoor Skydiving and the Nepean Belle Paddleboat. Nepean Hospital & Nepean Private Hospital are 25-30 minutes by car. Katoomba Hospital is also 25 minutes away. Springwood Hospital is just 2 kilometres away should you be visiting someone there, but it has no Emergency Department.
