Brand New! 23 Bailie Nicol Jarvie is a cosy, inviting apartment in the beautiful village of Aberfoyle. Ideal for a couple to escape to as a base for walking, cycling or even just taking a break from the hectic pace of life. Bring your furry (well behaved) friend along, they'll be made very welcome. Located in the stunning Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, Aberfoyle has enjoyed a resurgence as an active tourism destination. There are excellent local facilities; pubs, cafes and shops. Inside 23 BNJ you'll find everything you need for a relaxing and comfy break. Recently renovated there is a welcoming wood burner (starter supply of logs provided) in the living room to unwind in front of. A compact yet fully equipped kitchen, a double bedroom with heater and bathroom with bath with electric shower (towels are provided). Books and games will help pass the time in the evenings. Local information will help you plan your adventures, find the best place to eat out and let you know of locally run businesses. The Nook is dog friendly however dogs must not be left alone in the property at anytime. We are contactable throughout your stay and live nearby. Aberfoyle has recently undergone a complete resurgence, new local businesses have opened, such as Maggies Cake Shop, The Station Café and Aberfoyle Bike Hire. Established Pubs The Forth Inn and The Faerie Tree provide heart warming food along with a very warm welcome. A large newly built Co-op provides a great range of food and groceries. For active visitors there is an abundance of local trails that cater for all. Why not explore the Queen Elizabeth Forest on the doorstep; look for red squirrels and deer then find out about the iconic landscape at The Lodge Forest Visitor Centre on Dukes Pass. Explore local folklore with wander over to Faerie Hill and visits to local villages such as Gartmore, Kinlochard & Brig O’Turk can all be done off road. In the last few years Aberfoyle has become a real cycling destination with the launch of Gravelfoyle plus the Dukes Weekender event helping cement it as the newest must go to destination. There’s hundreds of miles of trails for all types of riding from road and gravel epic adventures to more extreme mountain bike trails, plus the local cycle track (previously the Aberfoyle trainline) to explore. Bikes & E-bikes can be hired locally to explore the area. Aberfoyle is served by bus that run into the nearby villages, towns and onto Glasgow. Locally there are an abundance of trails and paths to explore within the Queen Elizabeth Forest which is on the doorstep. Taking a cycle or short drive will open up the opportunity to see more of the Park and its beautiful landscape and local amenities.
