Cosy townhouse set just off the town centre; now with off-street permit parking provided and Superfast WiFi (min 55 mbps). Very convenient for all the shops, restaurants and pubs in the town. And straight out to enjoy the Lakes. To help plan your trips, walking guides and maps are also provided. The house has a full kitchen with everything you would have in your own home, including espresso machine, slow cooker and bread maker. The TV has Freesat and Amazon TV, with the town centre in easy walking distance. The house is a second home and a holiday home, so is equipped with everything you will need should you choose to eat at home in the evening. As there is nothing worse than arriving and having to head straight to the shops, the house comes with tea, coffee, sugar, herbs, spices, oils, shower gel, shampoo, etc. all provided. The entire house is yours to enjoy. I’m not local but please message me or call me any time and I’ll get straight back to you. Excellent artisan/independent food shops, restaurants and pubs in the town. Cockermouth has all you could want. Right in the heart of beautiful Cumbria, and straight out into the Lakes. Restaurant and pub recommendations: It is a good idea to book meals well in advance. My particular favourites are: Cockermouth: Bitter End – freehouse pub on Kirkgate – does great traditional food, and a quiz night every Tuesday – you could win a case of beer!! Spice Club – on Main Street - top grade curry – go as hot as you like! Aspava – Turkish Restaurant, in a courtyard on left of Main Street – make sure you are hungry. Tarantella – Italian, “nice”, as the Jazz Club man might say Quince & Medlar – vegetarian, vegan, and top drawer - enjoy Villages: Kirkstile Inn, Loweswater –nothing better than their steak pie and a pint of Loweswater Gold Royal Yew, Dean – more serious competition in the Steak Pie category, and a wide menu, that caters for most tastes The Sun Inn, Bassenthwaite – a little gem - great village pub doing good food. There is a good bus service if you want to enjoy the Lakes, and you can walk to and enjoy all of Cockermouth’s independent shops, restaurants, pubs and amenities. On the day of your arrival or before, I will ping you with the lockbox and WiFi codes, and other stuff to make you welcome. Guests are provided with paid for off-street parking for the full duration of their stay. So no costs or problems with car parking. Check in time is 3.00 pm Check out time is 10.00 am
