The Paris Cottage is a unique replica of a Romantic French Cottage with breathtaking rural views in a peaceful country setting. Imagine feeling you are in Paris.... while staying in beautiful West Gippsland....Restful,secluded...all with a Parisian influence. The Cottage is fully self contained and perfect for couples looking for time out to enjoy each other’s company. Ideal if you are looking for a peaceful retreat. Situated in West Gippsland...The Paris Cottage was in its original form part of the Darnum Musical Village.. There is a split system to keep you warm in winter and cool in summer. The kitchen has everything you need, all cooking utensils , dishes ect plus Tea, coffee, Milk, Sugar and some basic cooking ingredients/items. There is a Smart TV and Netflix is provided. Portable gas barbecue is available on request. This is the perfect retreat for couples looking for a romantic getaway. A great place to escape the hustle and bustle of life and just enjoy each other’s company! The Cottage is cosy, charming,comfortable & very relaxing! Guests have access to their own private front courtyard and back garden plus the large Village Retreat Park/Garden which has many areas to sit and relax. I normally really enjoy greeting and meeting my guests... I am available and contactable at all times and can answer any questions that you may have. I will be happy to assist you with ideas and information on dining out etc. The key can be left for you if you would prefer to check yourselves in. I will be available by text or personally at any time during your stay if you require. Darnum is a small country farming town set in the picturesque rolling hills of West Gippsland..... Less than an hours drive to : Mount Baw Baw for the snow ( Tobogganing, snow boarding, cross country and down hill skiing) a great place to visit all year round. Inverloch for the Beach. Walhalla has an historic Tourist Village, well worth a drive. Mirboo North is 15 mins drive from the Village Retreat and is a great place to visit... it has a Boutique Brewery where you can sample and purchase their beers. Mount Worth National Park is 15 mins away also and is very picturesque, a wonderful place for a bush walk or to explore/ relax. Lardner Park is 12 mins away and is Gippsland's premier Exhibition venue with happenings there every weekend. The Darnum Hotel is walking distance... 1 km away... very nice food, a great ambience and very close !! Darnum also has a General Store/ Tearooms Cafe which has great coffee and a great place for breakfast in front of the fireplace. Post Office/ Petrol Station all just 1 Km away !! Warragul is 5 mins away and has a Hospital, many top quality Restaurants and Wineries... a variety of places to shop... everything you require... and a great Golf Course. Yarragon is 5 mins away in the other direction and has tourist specialty shops and many cafes. Darnum has a bus service which runs into Warragul (which is 5 mins away )and from Warragul there is a VLine train service. Darnum is the centre of the West Gippsland cyclists (Website hidden by Airbnb) bring your bike ,there are some lovely bike rides. CLEANING.. The Cottage will be thoroughly cleaned between stays using highly effective and stringent methods recommended by AIRBNB and the Australian Health Department. Because of this I am no longer offering same day check-ins. If it is mid week contact me and we can work something out. The Retreat Cottages and Church are completely separated and have their own private areas.
