Private ensuite with kitchenette and shared pool
This charming ensuite room has its own private entrance. It is located on the bottom floor of the house. As such, it is the perfect cool quiet retreat. From the room, there is excellent access to the large infinity pool and the beautiful land including vineyard, truffiere, walnut grove, meadow land and small woodland. The room is a charming space: the bedroom has a stunning four poster bed and in the bathroom, the foundation rock of the house is visible, giving a rustic feel and coolness even in the height of summer. We are a family with young children and we do live on site, in a very separate building. We can happily make ourselves scarce for you to enjoy the tranquillity all around. However, we are happiest when helping you enjoy your trip as much as possible and we would hope to turn a 'visit' into a truly memorable experience. We can provide meals, childcare and many workshops. Between ourselves and some of the incredible neighbours we have, we are able to provide experiences in the surrounding area, such as on our truffiere (blackdiamondtruffletrees) or beehives; and workshops such as wood turning, furniture making (almost anything with wood!), sculpting, yoga, painting, tisane creation, cookery (adults or children); we may also provide transport for kayaking or day trips. We have many, many skills and many contacts in the locality for even more skills, so please do let us know if there is anything that you are interested in and we will be very excited to help put together experiences to make your holiday exactly as you want it. We are surrounded by natural beauty. The house is nestled in the valley with far reaching views. It is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a sunset. The closest village is St Robert, one of the 'Les Plus Beaux Villages du France'. During the summer, St Robert is home to the renown marche nocturne and year round it is a joy to visit with its ancient church, traditional woodfired boulangerie, well stocked epicerie, restaurants and friendly locals. Further afield, there is much to explore. Whether you prefer the natural beauty of the Correze or the historical attractions of the Dordogne. There is so much to see and do here.
