Attic View Train/Fast Bus to Nottingham

Spacious home in the quiet area of Attenborough near a nature reserve. You can reach the bus stop in 5 minutes. You can catch a bus to Nottingham, (Skylink bus 20 mins), Beeston (5 mins), Derby, and East Midlands Airport (40 mins). You can also take a 15-minute walk (or faster bike ride) to the lovely Attenborough Nature Reserve. This listing is for a light and cosy single attic room on the third floor of the house with pleasant distant view from the dormer window. On this third floor, you have the convenience of a shared WC with hand washbasin and a shower room, especially for guests. On the same floor are two other rooms for guests, both singles. You will also have access to guest drink facilities, fridge, and hob & microwave for snacks and heating up food. And cutlery, crockery, pots and pans. (Please note, washing up facilities are on ground floor 7.30-9.00 mornings and evenings. Also note this is a vegetarian home so only cold meats or meaty pizza/takeaway allowed.) 20-minute bus-ride to Nottingham. Bus stop for Skylink to Nottingham or EMA is 5 mins away or for Indigo bus a few mins further. You can take a 15-minute walk or bike-ride through the village to Attenborough Nature Reserve, with its own cafe. For preparing drinks and heating simple food you can use the kitchenette on our middle floor with fridge, hob, kettle, microwave any time of day between 7 am and 9 pm. If you would like me to cook something in our oven like pizza or some other simple food in our family kitchen every so often, I would be happy to help when I can. Alternatively do ask before you book if you would like to use the ground floor family kitchen for quick but more spicy or aromatic meals 6.30-9.30 pm. As this is a vegetarian household, only cold or pre cooked meats (eg pizza, ham, salami) or take-away are allowed. I am a family-oriented and friendly single mother with twins, age 16, older daughter and 4 grown up kids who visit. We like to give our guests privacy but do feel free to ask any questions during your stay. I love to meet new guests. I do not interact much between 8.00 and 17.00 - I work from home - but I will do my best to reply to any requests. Our house is located in a quiet suburban location with excellent transport links to nearby cities (Nottingham and Derby) as well as other areas. There is a good local pub with food (The Blue Bell) 7 minutes walk away or four other pubs (The Beekeeper, The Corn Mill, The Cadland and The Charlton Arms). We have a fish and chip shop (George's Tradition), Indian restaurant (Haveli Fine Dining), Chinese takeaway (Fontana Garden), McDonalds, Starbucks, Costa, M&S Food, Tesco Express and Lidl within a 5 minute drive or 15-20 minute walk. You will find the Skylink bus stop 5 mins away, and just a few minutes further on you will find the Indigo Bus, also for Nottingham. Also the tram 29 minutes away. You can walk 10 minutes to Attenborough Train Station, with trains to Nottingham, Derby (including stops for the Peak District), and to wherever you want to go!
