The Garden Cottage

Gorgeous elevated garden apartment. Double bedroom with king size bed, shower room with power shower, fabulous kitchen and sitting space overlooking classic old English country garden. Our west facing garden apartment has been built in old stone from the loft of an old barn. Looking directly over our garden, you can watch the sun going down in the evening sitting in our comfy chairs with a glass of chilled Prosecco!! Accessed up old stone steps we are sadly not suitable for the disabled or children but perfect for couples. A roomy king size bed, power shower and a kitchen with dishwasher, oven, espresso machine and fridge freezer holds everything you will need to enjoy the perfect getaway. Folding doors open onto the garden giving wonderful light in your living space, and a table and chairs is on the outside patio for when the weather allows. The whole apartment is for your sole use and should have everything you need. If you can give us notice we will endeavour to provide you with any extras you may require. We meet and greet you, show you where to park your car, check you have everything you need and then allow you to enjoy your stay. We would love you to tell us if there is anything you feel is missing in the apartment so we can put that right, if possible, straight away. Stanton Drew is a delightful village with a church, a farm, a small pub, and a village hall. It is friendly and quiet, some young families live nearby so noises you may hear will be children playing and birds singing and the church bells, and a tractor trundling by, but we love living here and we think you will too! Ideally you need to get here by car! As far as public transport is concerned, there is a bus service from the village to Bristol but it is not frequent so it is not ideal! We are about six miles/15 minutes from Bristol airport so we are a perfect overnight stay before or after your holiday or business trip abroad. We are happy to arrange transport to and from the airport if you require. The beautiful city of Bath is easy access too, just a 25 minute car journey will get you into the centre of Bath or 20 minutes to the park and ride bus service into the city. There is lots to see in Bath, museums, the Roman Baths and of course great shops!!!! Chew Magna is two miles by car or a lovely walk over the fields if you prefer. There you will find a selection of pubs, a post office a butcher and a small supermarket. Chew Valley Lake is also within easy reach. A local beauty spot for fishermen and walkers alike.
