Spacious Riverside Annexe & garden
Our light and spacious self-contained 1st floor annexe with its own private riverside garden sleeps 2 people. Set in a 2-acre Site of Natural Interest with lovely country walks from our doorstep and close to the world-famous Jurassic coast. We are following Airbnb's enhanced cleaning and sanitising protocol. Our property is at the river's edge overlooking the weir and mill pool. Our beautiful gardens have been designated a Site of Natural Interest (SNCI) because of the profusion of flora and fauna here. There is an abundance of bird-life; we are regularly visited by herons, kingfishers, egrets, cormorants, swans, moorhens and more. You may get lucky and see an otter, they are in the river here and we have a few sightings every year. The annexe is comprised of a large family room, an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower and a hidden away mini kitchen (kitchenette). There is a large sofa and TV area and an eating area with table and chairs. Guests have their own private riverside garden and private parking and access to the entire 2-acre plot. The second bed is a double sofa bed . Please note: The annexe is not suitable for 4 adults sharing. Please note: the steps to the annexe are reasonably steep so not ideal for younger children or those with walking difficulties. Our annex is a detached building, completely independent from the main house. Once we have given them the key guests have complete privacy. It's always lovely to talk to our guests but really it's up to you! You will love the woods, the walks and the wildlife and also the river and the water meadows. The Jurassic coast is a must to visit with its choice of hidden away bays or long stretches of sandy beach. There are many attractions in this area of Dorset from Brownsea island to Go Ape at Moors Valley to the numerous castles, standing stones and National Trust properties. We are close to a number of towns worth a visit..Shaftesbury, Salisbury, Sherbourne, Bournemouth. We are also very near to Poole and its ferry port and the sandy beaches at Sandbanks and Canford Cliffs. It is a 2 hour drive from here to London. As this is the countryside you will need a car. There is a private drive up to the property and plenty of car parking space once you are here. We provide towels so you do not need to bring your own. Coffee, tea, milk, bread, jam etc. are left in the kitchenette for your breakfast.
