The Goat Shed is a beautifully converted outbuilding, renovated to the highest of standards. The Goat Shed is part of Cherry Tree Farm (former home to the world renound potter Hans Coper and photographer wife Jane Coper). Situated a stone’s throw from the Historic Town of Frome, yet surrounded by beautiful countryside, river walks and fields in a secluded and quiet hamlet in an area of Frome known as Spring Gardens, The Goat Shed ( orinally a goat milking parlour), is a generously proportioned single story converted outbuilding. It has been renovated in a contemporary style using natural finishes wherever possible. It has a light, airy and spacious feel. The main open plan Living area is comprised of Kitchen, Dining area and Living area. We have installed a wood burning stove in the living area. We provide some wood, kindling etc for you to light the fire should you wish, making it extra cosy on a cold winters evening. The Kitchen is brand new and fully equipped. Its open plan nature is perfect for cooking for friends or family alike making the space very sociable. It sleep up to 6 people. There are 2 Bedrooms each with king sized beds. One has a zip and link bed so can be converted to single beds on request. There is also a double sofa bed in the Living room. We are welcoming to families and can provide a cot and high chair if required. There are some games, books, pens and paper etc, to help keep your kids entertained. We also have a smart TV for access to netflix etc. The Traditionally fitted Bathroom has a generously sized Shower as well as a bath. There is a large enclosed, gravelled South facing outside area to the front of the accommodation where you will find a table and chairs set beneath a beautiful Crab apple tree. It is fenced off from the rest of the yard making it ideal for keeping young kids in, giving you your own private out door space. Please be reassured that during these times of Covid19, I am following the full cleaning protocol and all the safety guidelines recommended by Airbnb. It has its own private entrance and free parking for up to three cars. The Goat Shed is family run as a one off space (there are no adjoining rentals). We are on hand if needed although far enough away for guests to feel independent. Although there is plenty of tips on the best places to visit, eat and drink in the visitors pack, we are more than happy to offer up to date advise and to be there if needed. We are a bit out of town so having your own car is recommended. There are plenty of local taxis if needed. Frome train station is the nearest, approx a 7 minute drive away. Westbury and Warminster are both further, both around 20 minures The nearest bus station is in the heart of Frome. We are a 5 minute drive/25 minute walk from Frome. Frome is a vibrant bustling market town. Café’s, pubs and good food are plentiful and it truly has an artisan feel. Frome has become very popular and well known for its lively atmosphere, with it's ever growing creative art and music scene, venues like the Cheese and Grain, and events such as the annual July Frome Festival. And of course the ever popular Independent market, held on the first Sunday of the month from March to December. There is always something to do and lots going on in this lively Somerset town. It's also a perfect base should you want to explore Bath, Longleat, Stonehenge, Glastonbury, and the other attractions the South West has to offer. The property banks against the idyllic Orchardleigh Estate, we are a few minutes walk from Cooper Hall, a contemporary music and performance venue. 3 miles from Babington House, a few miles from the pretty village of Mells, with plenty of beautiful walks, rivers and woodland nearby.
