On a quiet country lane in Hentland, within easy reach of Ross-on-Wye (4 miles) & Hereford, this converted cottage offers the perfect place to relax & unwind. Enjoying a courtyard setting and shared use of the owners’ gardens and tennis court, in countryside that is a paradise for walkers and birdwatchers. Hay cottage is separate from the main house and joined to Bridle holiday cottage with similar layout All on ground floor: Living room/kitchen/dining area. 2 bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and toilet, one with en-suite with bath Living room / diner with fully equipped kitchen and dining table and chairs. Shared landscaped gardens. 1-acre grounds. Patio and furniture. Parking. Shared hard tennis court The whole holiday home is yours during your stay and full information is available regarding keys etc. However, we do try to be around to welcome all our visitors on arrival. We know the area well and although we have provided many tourist leaflets we are always on hand to help out with any questions you may have during your stay and also to show you some of the lovely walks around the surrounding area. Situated along a country lane, Bridle cottage is within a couple of miles of the local pubs and many other country pubs are within a five mile radius, all of which serve good food. The local Garden Centre and Farm Shop is within easy reach and sell local Herefordshire produce. Ideally situated for touring the local area, including the Wye Valley, Symonds Yat, Hay on Wye, The Forest of Dean, Malvern Hills and the Brecon Beacons to name but a few. Of course you cannot come to Herefordshire without a visit to the famous Weston’s Cider or Chase Gin Distillery. More adventurous visitors will enjoy the variety of water sports and fishing offered at Ross-on-Wye. As Hay Cottage is situated in the countryside, getting around by car is your best option. However, there is a regular bus service 1.5 miles away with direct access to Hereford, Ross-on-Wye and Gloucester. There is also information of local taxi firms in the accommodation.
