Self-contained bungalow in village
Set in the delightful Northamptonshire countryside within easy access of the historic towns of Towcester, Northampton and Oxford. There are the sporting venues of Silverstone and Towcester on the doorstep as well as shopping in Milton Keynes. The bungalow is attached to the house shown in the photograph above and was designed and built in 1981, to an extent by ourselves, on the site of the village Wheelwrights workshop. It is of modern construction and is completely self-contained. We reside in the house and are available if assistance is required. As we are resident, guidance and security is enhanced. The bungalow is situated on the left side of the arched entrance and is centrally heated with radiators in all rooms and comprises a Living/Dining Room, a spacious Bedroom with a comfortable double bed and generous wardrobe space. The Bathroom and facilities are adjacent to the Bedroom and there is a bath and a separate shower cubicle. The Kitchen as illustrated is fully fitted. There is also a small Study/Den where, if required, a third person could be accommodated on a put-you-up bed. Pury End is a quiet village located in typical Northamptonshire countryside of gentle hills, fields and farmland. It’s main claim to fame is for being the birthplace, in 1761, of William Carey (the famous Baptist missionary) and it is also the home of the international headquarters of the Rolls Royce Enthusiasts’ Club. Close to home are many attractions, the most famous of which are the Silverstone motor racing circuit, home to the British F1 Grand Prix and Towcester Racecourse which is a Horse racing course, Greyhound track, Conference centre and Wedding and events Venue. Nearby sporting venues include a number of golf courses, Franklin Gardens, the home of Northampton Saints rugby club, and Stadium MK, the home of MK Dons football club and also a venue for the 2015 rugby world cup. Althorp, the once family home of Diana, Princess of Wales is a short distance away. Although local buses serve the village and provide access to Milton Keynes, Northampton and Oxford it is essential to have your own transport to be able to explore the surrounding area. We are centrally situated between London and Birmingham (north to south) and between Oxford and Cambridge (east to west) and all these places can be reached in about one hour. London can also be reached by train in about 30 minutes from Milton Keynes Central Station which is about a 20 minute drive away.
