Coussegrey, Victor's Farm, ground floor
The gite is on the ground floor of an old farmhouse with an interior courtyard and garden. It is in the heart of a village located halway between the vineyards of Burgundy and Champagne. The gites on the 1st and on the ground floor can be rented together depending on availability, therefore 5 bedrooms in all on the 2 gites (11 sleeps). Many walks and hikes nearby. The train station, the market, shops and museums are in Tonnerre located 11km from the village. 2 independent rooms, one with each : one double bed and one single bed. In case of large groups: possibility to rent the 2nd gite on 1st floor in addition. Cf following ad : Coussegrey, La Ferme de Victor, 1er étage : https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/39943003 Everything is on one level, 2 separate entrances, a 2nd WC in the back kitchen area. Free access to the courtyard and the garden. Ping-pong. I am not always present on site (I live half-time in the house on the other side of the courtyard, half-time in Paris), but reachable by phone if necessary. Many splendors around: Visit of the Fosse d’Yonne, the Chevalier d’Eon Museum or the Hotel-Dieu Marguerite de Bourgogne at Tonnerre (11 km). Access to the medieval cities of Troyes, Auxerre, Avallon within a radius of 50 kms. The old village of Noyers, “plus beau village de France”, Chablis (wine cellars), and Les Riceys (Champagne cellars) at 30 mins. Access by motorways A5 - E17 or A6 - E15, then D944 or D444 (2h15 from Paris). Train station: Tonnerre (11km from the village of Coussegrey). 1h50' from Paris (Paris-Bercy train station). An enchanting stay, at the hub of the wonders - and good wines - of Burgundy and Champagne.
