A spacious and sunny top floor of a two floor house directly by the sea, less than an hour's drive from Athens. It is fully equipped, with a very large balcony, on an acre of land containing an orchard, and direct access to the beach. It is also close to Agioi Theodoroi, Corinth, and Loutraki, and suitable for excursions to multiple archaeological and natural sites, picturesque villages, and two ski resorts. The apartment is an ample 130 sq.m., with easy access at road level, and consists of a large open-space living room, in addition to the two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The living room is divided into a seating area with a fireplace, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen area. One of the bathrooms is equipped with a shower and railings for people that may require assistance. The balcony is ideal for eating, enjoying a coffee, watching the sunset, or simply relaxing to the sound of the sea any time of the day or night. The privately-owned plot of land has direct access to both the old Athens-Corinth national road, as well as the beach, and can even accommodate a boat and trailer (please enquire about launch capabilities). Additional amenities within the plot include a dedicated barbeque area with large brick barbeque pit and wood oven, and two dog houses. We are always happy to answer questions. Not just about the house, but also about the surrounding area, places to eat, things to do and see, etc. The beach directly adjacent to the house is pebbled, ideal for the odd round of skipping stones, when not swimming or sunbathing. Within 500m, towards Agioi Theodoroi, is a seaside grove named Pefkakia. It has a central walkway suitable for strolling or jogging. Additionally, it has a cafe and restaurant with a wood oven, perfect for any sudden pizza craving. Within the town of Agioi Theodoroi, one can find several amenities and facilities, including coffee shops, bars, restaurants, ATMs, pharmacies, two large supermarkets, a post office, and a cinema (summer only). The seaside pedestrianized road is excellent for an evening stroll, while a playground at one end of this road provides amusement for children. Of course, no stroll in Agioi Theodoroi is complete without a tasty scoop of ice cream from the excellent Dino patisserie, located on the near side of town, on the main road. For those interested in looking further afield, there are many interesting locations within a very short distance. Both Corinth and Loutraki are approximately 20 minutes by car. A major attraction on the way to Corinth is the Isthmus canal. In addition to visiting the bridge located in the middle section of the canal, approximately 75m above sea level, it is always worth visiting the submersible bridges at Isthmia and Poseidonia. On occasion, these bridges have been known to catch fish! And of course, near the city of Corith are the archaeological sites of Ancient Corinth and Acrocorinth. Also within an hour's drive, the ancient sites of Ancient Nemea, Mykines (Mycenae), and the sea lake Vouliagmeni of Loutraki, are definetely worth a visit. Moreover, at just over an hour, a trip to the ancient theatre of Epidavros (Epidavrus) is a must-do activity during the summer Athens-Epidavros festival. But the rest of the year is also catered for, courtesy of the Stimfalia lake, Ziria, Trikala of Corinth, and the beautiful city of Nafplio. In fact, there are even two ski resorts (Mainalo, Kalavrita) within approximately an hour and a half. The house is very easily accessible by car, as it is located on the old Athens-Corinth national road, and there are two junctions connecting this road to the new highway. However, there are several ways to get around in the area, in addition to using a car. The town has a suburban railway station, connecting it to both Athens and Corinth. There is a taxi rank in town, and there is a local bus service linking the town to the outskirts. Finally, there is a coach service (KTEL) from Athens to Corinth which is routed through the town of Agioi Theodoroi. Both the bus and coach have stops nearby.
