There are two other cottages on site which, when booked together offer accommodation for 14. This warm, wooden-clad cottage sits in beautiful gardens and woodland at the foot of the Campsie hills. The double-height living area with wood-burning stove leads onto an open plan kitchen and dining area. Also downstairs is a single room and a room with twin beds that zip together into a king-sized bed if requested. The family bathroom has a separate shower and bath. Upstairs is a double bedroom with en suite. The cottage has ramp access and an accessible bathroom and welcomes a well-behaved pet. Upper Woodburn is 20 minutes’ drive north of Glasgow at the foot of the Campsie Hills and there is ample parking onsite. There is a bus stop at the end of the drive on the half-hourly 89 bus route from Buchanan Street Bus station in Central Glasgow. Croy rail station on the Edinburgh-Glasgow train line is a 15 minute drive/taxi ride away. From Croy there are also direct trains to Stirling and you can change there for travel to Dundee and Aberdeen Guests can check in independently and at any time that suits them after 300 pm on the day of arrival. The owners are available by phone for any queries and also are close by if you need assistance in person. The cottage is situated in extensive garden and woodlands grounds which guests are welcome to walk in. You can access the campsie hills direct from the woods for more extensive walks from the doorstep. The towpath on the Forth & Clyde canal is only 2 miles away which is ideal for cycle day-trips and connects with the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies. For day-trips it is a half-hour drive to the Trossachs and Loch Lomond and the cities of Glasgow Edinburgh and Stirling are all within very easy reach. The station is around 10 minutes away and trains every half-hour run to Glasgow (in 20 mins) and Edinburgh (in 30 mins). There is a bus stop at the end of the drive on the half-hourly 89 bus route from Buchanan Street Bus station in Central Glasgow. Croy train station on the Edinburgh-Glasgow train line is a 15 minute drive/taxi ride away. And trains from Croy will take also take you to Stirling, with a change there for Dundee Aberdeen.
