The house exists over 3 floors, the ground floor is mainly the living quarters and the first floor the bedrooms - guests will have access to this with own entrance. The basement level has a self contained studio which may be occupied by the owner of the house. The owner comes and goes. Both parts have separate access. The house has a large garden, a swimming pool and a fireplace where you can roast sausages or marshmallows :) and additional bbq area as well. Walking around the village you can see cows, horses, geese and beautiful fountains with a view of the Alps. Many hiking trails, including through the forest, start directly from the house, without the need to get in the car. 10-20 minutes by car, there are old Roman ruins and amphitheatres to visit. The house is historically located on the old Roman road between the cities of Lausanne and Bern, with many small towns in between. A 20 min drive away, there is a zoo and a tropicarium (reptiles), so cool for kids. Lausanne our big city with a very impressive cathedral. There is also Lake Geneva - so many possibilities (beaches, pedal boats, speedboats, castles). Parking available for 4 cars onsite. As an extra I am happy to cook an Indian meal or you :) Located in a small sleepy village of not more than 250 residents. Very safe and secure neighbourhood. There are no shops or commerce in the village but a 5 min drive away is all the amenities you would need. Lausanne, Lake Geneva and beautiful swimming spots are a 30 minute drive away. There are lots of walking trails and forest space within a 20 min walk from the house with stunning views on the Swiss and French Alps. Direct trains from Lausanne to Moudon, once every hour. Direct buses from Croisette metro to Moudon . From Moudon there is a bus that runs, in the mornings and afternoons. Best way to get here is by car. Lots of parking available.
