Apartment in Montemerano, Saturnia (1st floor)

In the medieval castle of Montemerano, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, a stone's throw from the thermal baths of Saturnia, you can enjoy the quiet of Tuscany. The accommodation is located in the oldest part of the village, accessed from the historic Piazza del Castello with rooms that overlook the Maremman hills. Our house is located in the medieval castle and has a magical atmosphere. The apartment on the first floor, has a large living room leaning against the fourteenth century tower, a fully equipped kitchen, a double bedroom and a comfortable bathroom with bathtub and washing machine. All the spaces have a wonderful view of the hills! This small village and its surroundings are wonderful: full of Etruscan remains, close to the thermal waters of Saturnia and Sorano, close to the charming ancient villages of Pitigliano and Sovana. This is a land that offers excellent traditional food, good wine and excellent olive oil, Montemerano is rich in high quality wine cellars and restaurants with a wide range of prices. Towards the hinterland you can reach Monte Amiata with suggestive routes, while, heading towards the coast, you can reach seaside resorts such as Porto Ercole, Talamone, Porto Santo Stefano, Castiglione della Pescaia and the islands of the Tuscan archipelago. There is a FREE CAR PARKING next to the town's church! I am Carlotta and I will take care of the communication with you, while Gloria, the lady who takes care of the house and the cleaning will be available on site for any need. - Saturnia hot springs are only 6 km away. - Pitigliano and sovana are easily reachable by car. - Monte Amiata and its surroundings are beautiful to visit in winter. - The beautiful seaside resorts are not far away (Monte Argentario, Capalbio, Porto Ercole, Porto Santo Stefano, Ansedonia, Talamone..) - In the surroundings of montemerano there are many wineries including Villa Acquaviva, Locanda Terenzi, Fattoria Le Mortelle, Fattoria Aldobrandesca, which produce high quality wines. - The country’s gastronomic offer is wide: from the multi-star restaurant Caino, to the originality of Verdiana and Passaparola, to the cheaper but high quality taverns such as Il Moro. A car is suggested but if you don't have one there, you can use the CAR RENTAL in town! The nearest TRAIN STATIONS are in Grosseto, Orbetello, Orte, Orvieto and PUBLIC means of TRANSPORTATION are available. Montemerano was nominated as one of the 100 most beautiful villages in Italy by winning the place in the association called "I Borghi Più Belli d'Italia"! According to the "Huffington Post" Saturnia's hot springs are among the 20 best natural pools in the world!
