Beautiful flat located in the lovely village of Madalena do Mar, a warm bay on the south of Madeira Island famous for paragliding. The flat is a 2min walk from the beach and 1min away from one of the best fish restaurants on the Island. This is a spacious apartment located in a small block of flats. It has 2 bedrooms - 1 double and 1 twin - with access to the balcony; a fully equipped kitchen and a cosy living space with a flat screen TV. On arrival you will receive a welcome pack containing: Madeira wine, Madeira honey cake, seasonal local fruit from our farm, coffee, tea, bread, home-made jams, breakfast cereal, milk, olive oil, etc. Guests will have access to the whole flat, including the rooftop barbecue area and balcony. Guests will be met with the keys and will have contact via email/text/phone as required. We are available to provide any help and information as needed. Further, we are happy to meet guests at the airport and take them to the flat. Madalena do Mar is a lovely small village with breathtaking views to the Atlantic Ocean and to Madeira well know hilly green mountains. It is not only is one of the warmest places of the island but also home to one of the best fish restaurants located just 2 min away from the flat. There are also other restaurants and cafe's and bars near by. The villagers are friendly and welcoming, they are mainly banana farmers or fishermen. For the most adventurous guests, there is also near by the paragliding school. Public transport is available, but the village is quite remote. For ease of getting around and complete freedom it is recommended to hire a car. Bus timetable can be provided if needed. Madalena do Mar is a good base point to explore the Southwest, West and Northwest of the Island. There are other villages and various levada walks to explore near by. Due to the size of the island Funchal is only a 30min drive away.
