The Roost - Bright & Airy Countryside Apartment

Recently redecorated and refurnished! The Roost is a family-friendly self-catering apartment on the first floor of our house in the beautiful Forest of Dean. You will have the entire flat (bedroom, kitchenette-living room, bathroom) to yourself, although please note that the entrance to the flat is shared by the owners who live on the ground floor. It is the partner space to our self-contained let, the Loft. For larger bookings, please consider reserving both. We have a beautifully bright double bedroom with a king-size double bed and single bed. The living room sofa also folds out into a sofa bed, and we can provide a travel cot on request. High chair, children's toys and books and baby monitor are also available. Wonderful views King size bed TV & DVD Player Fully equipped kitchenette Guests receive a welcome pack of fresh, homemade bread and eggs from our free-range chickens. We live on a two-acre plot: half-garden (with chickens, and friendly dog and cats!), half orchard and wildflower meadow on a gentle hill. We have swings and a slide, and the whole site is enclosed and far from any traffic: a lovely space for children. At the top of the hill we have a fire-pit and seating area, looking across the wonderful Gloucestershire countryside and the Severn river. Beyond this is a gate which leads you straight into the Forest of Dean. We are happy for guests to enjoy all these spaces. There is a shared entrance and hall leading upstairs to The Roost, also used by the owners. Guests are welcome in our garden. We live on the ground floor of the house and will be available should you need anything. We live at the top of a hill in a beautiful, quiet, rural area. There are many lovely walks which can be done on foot from our house. Our nearest town is Chepstow (3 miles). You can reach us by car or taxi (keen hikers could walk!) Our nearest town is 3 miles away, with a TESCO and Marks & Spencer. We provide a loaf of bread, eggs, milk, coffee and tea on arrival, but ask guests to bring anything else they need with them. This apartment is very family-friendly and sleeps 2-4 adults or a family with 2-3 children. We also have on site a newly-built, self-contained apartment, The Loft, with fantastic views and Scandinavian wood-burner. We are happy for guests to reserve both spaces for larger bookings.
