A rural, peaceful riverside hotel room in a field! An idyllic countryside getaway just 10 minutes from j26 of the M5. Check out our other getaway retreats ‘Sunset Shepherds hut’, Countryside Cabin' & 'Riverside retreat' OPTIONAL EXTRAS: (Please let us know at the time of making your booking). BREAKFAST £10pp (Orange juice, freshly baked Croissants and yoghurt & granola pots) If you'd like any special touches i.e bubbly / wine / flowers get in touch to arrange - We'd love to help! Set in a private field with stunning views of the Somerset Countryside. There are also 3 other glamping units. In total, the units can accommodate up to 10 people - perfect for an extended family glamping trip! The lodge has a double bed and a small double sofa bed. There is plenty of outside space to pitch a tent for 2 additional guests if required. Additional cost is £10/person. The cabin is set within a working equestrian centre so we ask guests to be quiet and respectful around the stable yard area and the 3 other retreats along the river. Please feel free to walk around the 6 acre field the pod is located in. There is a great walk just across the river on a public footpath which follows the river tone for a good 2 miles. If you don't fancy braving the river crossing you can walk into the village and access it that way. Fantastic local pub with beer garden in the picturesque village of Bradford-on-Tone, just a short walk away. You may even spot the infamous village peacock roaming around! We have some great walks available, one just across the river! This is a great base to explore Somerset and beyond or just a comfortable night to break up a long journey. 2 local farm shops and cafe's within a 5 minute drive. Great location, we are only 10 minutes from J26 of the M5. We are about a 15min walk to the nearest bus stop which can take you into the towns of Wellington and Taunton where there is also a train station. You are welcome to use the fire pit to cook on but please bring your own utensils for this as we only supply a limited amount of cutlery for internal use. Microwave cooking facility only inside the cabin. Sometimes part of the field does get muddy so welly boots would be useful to have here during wetter months! Guests can park next to the pod. Flip flops would be worth packing for getting to and from the shower room. Bring warm clothes for the colder times of the year! ***WINTER BOOKINGS*** Please note although the pod has a small heater inside, the toilet and shower shed does not. It will be cold going to and from the pod to the shower and loo so please bring warm clothes and appropriate footwear. DURING WINTER MONTHS COLD WATER ONLY IS AVAILABLE. A few additional blankets will be worth bringing for those that really feel the cold! We are happy to let the pod out through the winter but please be aware it’s not as warm as a house with central heating and is most ideal in the warmer months to make use of the outside area.
