Gite a la ferme

Come and stay anytime during the year in this superb cosy cottage renovated in 2018 situated on a working farm. Peaceful location in the heart of the Creuse, close to village amenities. A wonderful time warp area of beauty with much to enjoy. Great for families with children with a large fenced garden or an ideal getaway to relax and recharge the batteries! Maintaining its character, the cottage has pointed stone walls and wooden beams showing, downstairs there is a large fully equiped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and table to seat 6, the cosy sitting room will keep you cool in summer or warm in winter with a woodburning stove, tv and a there are plenty of books to read if you fancy. Upstairs there is a bathroom and 3 bedrooms the first with a double bed and en suite shower/toilet, the second a double bed and the third has single bunk beds. Outside there is parking and a large closed garden with table and chairs to seat 6 or more and a BBQ, out the front a lovely terrace with a pretty iron table to enjoy morning coffee whilst watching the cows wandering in the adjacent field. Baby equipment is available on demand. The whole house is put at your disposal during your stay. Whilst we live on the farm we are not directly next door to the cottage so you will have your privacy and will not be overlooked, saying that, if you need anything do not hesitate to ask me and I will be glad to help. This is a lovely rural area, we are situated just outside a small village surrounded by our own land, there is a small town about 3 miles away with restaurants, a well stocked supermarket, bakery for your fresh bread, newsagents etc and there is easy access (as we are not far from the RN145) to Gueret or Montlucon with a larger choice of shops. The pretty town of Aubusson is a 20 minute drive south and there are many lakes within a short drive to relax or have a swim. There is a train station at Parsac with trains to Gueret and Limoges for example which is about 3 miles away, but we would strongly recommend coming with a car. We are not too far from the RN145 so easy access to towns such as Gueret and Montlucon. There are lots of flights into Limoges airport which is 1 1/4 hrs away. You will be staying on a working farm so the prospect of tractors and cows passing will be very likely! If you have children who would like to see the cows, hens, pigeons, goats, etc I would be quite happy to show them. We also have three dogs and a cat.
