Oak Barn

This luxury self-catering Eco Barn has been finished to the very highest specifications. The oak barn conversion opened in May 2014 after being completely renovated, it is designed to an exceptionally high standard and decorated with an excellent eye for detail. Full attention has been paid for every part of the barn from hand-crafted oak doors, well thought out colour schemes and handmade furniture and fabrics. The Oak Barn sleeps 12 guests in total, 8 in double beds and another 4 in double sofa beds. It’s features are a large open plan living/dining space downstairs with a large comfortable curved sofa around a beautiful wall-mounted wood burning stove, with a large TV with Free Sat. There is also a very fabulous large handmade oak dining table designed to seat 14 guests to help bring everyone together to have enjoyable meal times. The attractive fitted kitchen is extremely well equipped with a Range Master cooker, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, large fridge/freezer etc. There is a downstairs disabled bedroom with and “rise and recline” twin beds, this bed can easily become a Super King sized bed with its own en-suite wet room with toilet, hand basin and shower. There is also a separate downstairs toilet with hand basin. All bedrooms upstairs have en-suites with spacious showers in two and a luxurious corner bath in one. Each bedroom is also equipped with large wardrobes, oak dressing tables and a TV with Free-Sat. French doors lead out to a terraced area with a covered swim/spa, pod chair, handmade bench, teak patio furniture and a large BBQ. This would make any weekend away with friends and family a success to be able to relax together and enjoy the views. Private Garden with Swim Spa for guest use. Bike Hire – 12 mountain bikes for hire on discussion - £25 full day, £15 half a day. As it is a working farm we live on site and will be around on the yards working so generally will be able to help out with any questions or assistance that you might need. The hamlet of Crai is right in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. Walking routes are available from the doorstep of this property, but you can easily travel by bus as the nearest bus stop is just 40 metres away. Just 4 miles from here is the cattle market village of Sennybridge, which has a couple of shops and pubs. The bustling town of Brecon is 12.5 miles away and is a great day out with museums and a cathedral for you to visit. You can also access the popular hiking trail of the scenic peak, Pen y Fan in 12 miles from here. Crai village has a bus stop on the main road with a regular bus time table.
