Cottage near beach and Malmo/Lund, for non smokers

Welcome to Lomma, a beach town, close to Malmö and Lund, with a seaside/country feel The cottage is in a small quiet village close to Lomma. The seafront is 200m away, woods, a golf course, windsurfing etc. The house is fairly compact and is perfect for a family of 4-6 people. 6 beds, 3 bedrooms, (with 2 extra beds possible for rent). "Swedish holiday-home" which means, bring your own bedding etc. and leave house spotless. Or relax -rent the cleaning through us, we have a good cleaning company. Welcome to our Swedish/English home. Leave the hustle and bustle of Lund and Malmö behind you and come to Lomma. The house has three bedrooms, one double bed (downstairs) and two twin bedrooms upstairs, with two single beds in each room (there is a small flat with an extra bedroom with 2 more beds, if necessary. However, the house is fairly compact and is best suited for a family of 4-6 (note there is no heating in the extra 4th bedroom)). There is an open plan living room/dining/kitchen area. The main bathroom downstairs, has a toilet, shower and sink. There is an extra toilet and sink upstairs. The house has a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer (only one of the large machines can be used at a time, or a fuse may blow, but it's easy to reset (see photos)). The television has local Swedish channels, a DVD player and broardband WIFI access. The tile floors offer warm under floor heating in the winter, but are nice and cool in the summer. The upstairs floors are real wood birch tree flooring. Our house is a price-worthy alternative to a hotel, hostel, or B&B. Here you can enjoy the home comforts of a house, without having to share a bathroom or kitchen with other guests. You have a fully equipped kitchen and can enjoy making your own food. You have the house to yourselves and a garden/patio for bbq etc. Extra persons, above 4, pay an extra feer per person a night. The 60 liter water tank is sufficient for approximately 7 people to take a 5 minute shower. This is strictly a no smoking house ( with no smoking in the house or in the garden). Only non smokers can live here, due to allergies in the family. We welcome you and help show you around and we can give you tips on local things to do/see. We live next door, so we can help quickly if anything needs our attention. Please read the house rules about booking cleaning, sheets and towels (let us know if you want to bring your own ), rubbish collection etc. We look forward to welcoming you to Lomma The whole house will be yours for the duration of your stay, as well as the small garden in front of the house and patio with a bbq. Easy parking for one car in our driveway. You access the cottage from our garden, walking from the car parking area to the cottage along the grass lawn. Additional cars can park for free on the street. How much we interact varies a bit depending on our schedule at the time and by how much privacý our guests want. We both work, but are available for advice and/or a "fika" - coffee or tea. My husband is Swedish and I am British. We have one bilingual child still living at home. Our older children have flown the nest. Lomma is a small town with lovely fishing boats, sailing boats, restaurants, food shops and beautiful wood and beach walks. The cottage is in a small village, with approx 100 houses. It is 3km from the center of Lomma with close access to the sea and surrounding area. Lomma has about 5 000 inhabitants with many local shops, cafe's and excellent restaurants. The house is in a quiet cul-de-sac. In the village you can enjoy the wooden pier, for romantic views of the sunsets and picnic table or a walk along the front to the local beaches. 800m away the beach is sandy and child friendly beach with shallow waters. There is a golf course almost next door. This area is also a prime wind surfing and kite surfing area (due to the shallow waters here). There is a club close by that rents out equipment and also arranges courses in the summer. The house is close to the woods and you can walk into Lomma via the beach or through the woods. Main attractions Lomma: The beaches, 27 hole golf course (plus 18 short hole course) windsurfing, kite-surfing, restaurants Bjärred: beaches, long pier with restaurant and saunas for winter/summer bathing Copenhagen: The little mermaid, Hans Christian Andersson, Tivoli, museums and parks galore Malmö: The shopping, old town area, Malmö museum, canal boat rides, turning torso, Malmö castle, museums and restaurants, shopping in the center or at the Emporia shopping center. Lund: Quaint cobbled streets, restaurants and cafes, Lund Cathedral with medieval clock, Botanical gardens, Kulturen museum, Lund University Helsingborg, ferries with lunch buffet over to Helsingör to see Hamlets castle Ystad: Wallander country and quaint town Ales stenar: old rocks in a ship formation in the area of "apple county" Höllviken - white sandy beaches in a nature reserve full of birdlife, seals etc. Snorkelling/walks- Höganäs Woods/national parks -Skrylle, Skäralid, Häckeberga, Höganäs (also good for snorkelling) Easy access to Malmö and Lund, 15 minutes by car. Lund, Malmö and Copenhagen are a simple car ride away (10km, 15km, 35km respectively). Bus stop to Lomma/Malmö/Landskrona is 200m from the house (bus 132). Change in Lomma to get a bus to Lund. From Malmö/Lund, there is bus or train access to all of Sweden/Denmark. If you fly into Copenhagen you can catch a train at the airport terminal to Malmö Central Station and connect with buses from there. There is parking for one guest car on our "plot" but other cars can park on the quiet road, in front of the house, for free. Note/Reminders - House rules/Cleaning Instructions 1) NO PARTIES and only the number of people booked in, may stay at the house 2) NO SHOES indoors. Please don't wear your outdoor shoes, in the house, this will damage the wooden floors. Bring indoor slippers if you would like. 3) WOODEN FLOORS upstairs and ATTIC WINDOWS. Don't open the attic windows. Leave them in ventilation mode. If it rains, the rain will damage the wooden floors. Don't scrape things along the floors, or wheel your suitcases, or move the furniture. The floors are beautiful and have just been sanded down. Ask us first and we can assist you, if there is anything you need help with. 4) SHEETS/TOWELS: You must use sheets, pillow cases and quilt covers on every bed that you sleep in or lie on. Sleeping directly on the mattresses or quilt covers will incur an extra charge of 200kr per bed, for the extra work of washing the bedding quilts, mattress covers etc. Bring your own sheets, quilt covers pillowcases and towels, or ask me. I'll put the sets of sheets and towels on top of the bureau in the hallway. Please note, that that you make up your own beds. The sheets are washed,tumble dried, hung and folded after they have aired. If you borrow sheets from us. Please leave the sheets and towels in the same bag that I deliver them in, when you check out. 5) RUBBISH BIN in the garden All the rubbish needs to be well sorted before you throw it in the bin. Food, plastic, paper, carton, glass, metal must be correctly sorted before you throw it away. There are pictures in the bin lids, and we are here to help if you have any questions. 6) Only "NON SMOKERS" can live here. No smoking in the house and no smoking in the garden 7)CLEANING. Enjoy your holiday...We don't force you to have an extra cleaning fee, but we highly recommend that you book our cleaning company, so you can relax and enjoy your holiday. It costs 600kr cash (about 60Euro), just let us know at least 3 weeks before you arrive (or when you book) and we shall arrange it (900kr+for larger parties or stays longer than 10 days). We really care and we hope that all our guests enjoy their stay in a spotlessly clean, fresh house. If you love cleaning and you want to do it yourself here is our list of cleaning instructions that you agree to for your stay (part of your deposit may be withheld if the house isn't cleaned using these guide-lines). CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS (below a to g): Our aim is that every new guest shall enjoy the same level of cleanliness as you. a) Clean/polish the shower, sinks and toilets (inside and outside of, including floor/walls around the toilet) thoroughly with a hard sponge and bathroom cleaner b) Dust all the surfaces, window sills, tables, TV etc. with a clean damp cloth, check lights, corners etc. c) Wipe out the refrigerator, microwave, oven, kettle etc. drawers and cupboards d) Shake and fold the pillows, mattress and quilts and take your your bags out (make sure the mattress covers are clean and fluff/hair free) e) Sweep the patio and wipe tables/chairs clean. Clean the BBQ if you have used it f) Hoover all the floors upstairs and downstairs and hoover the stairs (hoover under tables, sofas, cupboards and beds). Take out your suitcases g) The last person out finishes off by washing all the floors with the mop (put up kitchen chairs on table). Please, use only one cap-full of cleaning fluid in one full bucket of water. When you arrive if you find any area of cleaning as unsatisfactory, please, let us know directly and we shall fix it and photo it. Thank you so much for choosing to stay in our cottage.
