NEW BUILD FOR 2021! A brand-new jewel in the SummerHouse Luxury Holiday Lets crown! A beautiful countryside retreat with access to luxury heated swimming pool with a hot tub, steam room & changing rooms, all bookable for fully exclusive use. The complex is a grand house in the middle of the Chew Valley overlooking the stunning Mendip foothills. East Wing has three luxury, en-suite bedrooms, comfortably sleeping six people with a sofa bed for two more in our spacious reception room. To the right of the front door is the Sitting Room with ceiling-to-floor windows, large, luxurious sofa with a comfortable bed, and a magnificent fireplace. There is a large HDTV with a Wii, Android TV box and a Blu-Ray player. Skylights stream natural light into the room making it nice and bright. Just off the Sitting Room, there is a modern kitchenette with a brand new kitchen containing a gas cooker, electric oven, built-in microwave, and a slimline dishwasher. Directly opposite the front door is Wisteria, a super king bedroom with a private shower room. This space also allows access to the shared Laundry Room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and an additional dishwasher. Just off the Sitting Room are two luxurious en-suite bedroom. The nearest one is Willow with a super-king bed, a superb en-suite bathroom containing a freestanding slipper bath and a walk-in shower. The next bedroom, Magnolia, has a double bed. Magnolia's en-suite has a bath and shower. In our grounds you will find a 200-year old converted stables, a Georgian horse wash, a well, and a purpose built swimming pool. The pool complex houses a ten-metre swimming pool with a "Fluvo jet" to exercise against, a hot tub which takes 5 people (at a squeeze) a shower and steam cubicle, robes, slippers, spa towels, hair dryer. The temperature of the pool is 88 °F / 31 ° C and the temperature of the hot tub is 101 ° F / 38 ° C. Bring your own CDs, use ours or listen to the radio or Bluetooth; feel free to just sit in the pool room to read, relax or meditate. Groups are to book sessions for exclusive use of the pool complex - ask for details. We have personally approved people to offer you Massages, Aromatherapy Treatments and Personal Trainer Assessment which can be arranged by yourselves at an extra charge if required. Fully exclusive access to Sitting Room, Wisteria, Willow & Magnolia bedrooms, kitchenette, front door, and hallway. Laundry Room is shared with East Wing with locks. There is a private patio with charcoal BBQ at the foot of the driveway. The Garden is shared with Old Stables, owners family & friends. The pool complex is reservable for exclusive use. We are always on site to deal with any additional requirements of our guests. Centrally situated for visiting Bath, Wells, Bristol, Cheddar Gorge and the Mendip Hills, our holiday let is ideal for exploring this beautiful area. There are several walks from the house, including a stiff climb up to the Iron Age Hill fort atop Norton Malreward or a meander along the Chew Valley to see the Stanton Drew Standing Stones. There is great food to be found at “the Pelly”, The Lazy Lobster and “The Bear and Swan” only 4 minutes drive away in Chew Magna; if you are looking for gourmet dining, then the Michelin starred “Pony and Trap” is within 4 miles, as is also The Pig at Bath, but you will need to make a reservation well in advance for these. Belluton is a hamlet on the B3130 and within easy access to the A37 for travelling to Bristol and Bath which can be both reached within about a 30 minute drive. Chew Valley is unique in the West Country, comprising some 35,000 acres of unspoilt and protected countryside which occupies the middle ground of the Bath, Bristol and Wells triangle. Dominating the south side of the valley are the foothills of the Mendips, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The valley contains both the Chew Valley and Blagdon Lakes, notably for their fishing, birdlife, sailing and nature study amenities. The villages in the Valley are all unspoilt and each has its individual charm and character. Only seven miles to the north of the Chew Valley is the City of Bristol, the West Country's financial and business centre, and host of the annual Balloon Fiesta. The World Heritage Site of the City of Bath, unique, stylish, a shopper’s paradise with its Roman origins is less than half an hour’s drive to the East. On the Southern side of the Mendips is the historic City of Wells, England's smallest city, with its ancient Cathedral, Bishop’s Palace and lovely market square with its twice weekly market. Nearby is the new designer outlet at Kilver Court. Please note that we do 7 night stays from Fridays to Fridays all year round, bookable on Airbnb, however between November to March, inclusive, we offer stays of 3 nights, Fridays to Mondays, and 4 nights, Mondays to Fridays.
