The Loft, St Catherine, Bath.

A beautiful and private self catering studio apartment with kitchenette, dining area, double bed, large sofa and separate bathroom set in the sought after destination of St Catherine’s, just 20 minutes from Bath. Guests have exclusive use of a private hot tub for an extra fee of either £100 for us to clean, fill, light the burner and stoke it to get it up to temperature for you, or else you can light and stoke it yourself at an extra cost of £75. There is a double bed, a small but well equipped kitchen with two ring job, convection oven and fridge, plus all necessary pots and pans, plenty of crockery, and a bathroom with a roll top bath. The Loft is situated in a large private garden above a storage block which is an outbuilding of the main house. The Loft overlooks a beautiful wooded hillside on one side, and a wild woodland area on the other, with private large decking area and now a secluded garden area with an eco wood fired fired hot tub too. It is very private and not overlooked by anyone. As explained above the hot tub can be used at the extra cost of either £100 for us to clean, fill, light the burner and stoke it to get it up to temperature for you, or else you can light and stoke it yourself for the extra cost of £75. We give you all necessary materials and instructions with which to do this. This cost covers you to use the tub a couple of times during your stay, there’s a small extra cost for logs if you’d like to use it more than that. It’s a good idea to bring flip flops or slippers to get from the Loft across the deck to the hot tub, it’s not far but can be nice to avoid the cold and wet in the colder months! Dressing gowns are provided. The Loft is self contained within a rural property with its own private parking space. It is up on the first floor, making it feel tucked away from the rest of the property. It feels secluded as a result. You have private access to the Loft and do not share it with anyone else. The Loft is an entirely self contained private space, but we are on hand for any queries or emergencies. We are often around to welcome you but expect people to let themselves in with the key code. St Catherine’s is a rural idyl and sits in breathtaking countryside- both summer and winter. Just five miles from Bath, it is a perfect escape. We will provide you with details of local restaurants, pubs, cinemas and shopping if you feel like leaving this beautiful peaceful holiday home. Internet can be intermittent in this area so it is advisable that you do your research before you get here!. We have provided many maps, but unfortunately they keep being removed, so if possible bring your own! There is no public transport to the property so a car is necessary, however if you wish to come by train there are always plenty of taxis at Bath Spa station. Once here we will provide the telephone numbers of local taxi services. Communications from London airports via train from Paddington Station. The Loft is situated in a large garden where three generations of our family live. The garden and grounds are situated on a hillside which means the areas are nicely separated and there is plenty of space for everyone to have their own space and privacy. The Loft is a magical location and has featured in many publications including 'Living Life Beautifully' by Cico Books. It has been lovingly designed and created by Christina and her family, the interior is in designed in Cabbages and Roses ‘shabby chic’ style. The Loft is surrounded by a beautiful garden, and hilly countryside all in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the edge of the Cotswolds with wonderful walks, many along a brook, right on your doorstep. Plus we are just 5 miles from the Heritage city of Bath.
