South facing, quiet, cottage with exceptional views set in valley of "Outstanding natural beauty" close by "The Cotswold Way" and miles of wonderful walks from the doorstep. Light filled rooms are decorated with original paintings and textiles. There are 2 computer chairs, a good table for laptops & business connection wi fi in the cottage. Relax by the wood burning stove, sleep on a super king size antique brass bed. Private south facing small terrace & lawn which cannot be overlooked. There is an allocated parking space in the drive, no cars are allowed beyond parking in drive providing complete quiet around the cottage. Please note there is a 80 metre walk up from the drive along a grassy garden path. Very light South facing cottage, light painted floorboards in the large studio room, old wooden floorboards in the hall, bedroom, separate lou and in the shower room. It is a pleasant 30 minute walk into the small town of Wotton- under -edge, Which has all the amenities you would need, super market, chemist, deli & health food shop, there is parking all the way up the left hand side of the high street. Our small cinema has ample parking just outside. The cottage is entirely private with it's own lawn & small terrace. It is accessed through our large garden along a path. Self check in is available. We have a comprehensive cleaning & disinfecting protocol between visits. Two of the windows in the kitchen over look our vegetable garden. There will always be someone available to speak to in person or by phone or email. We can advise on the large network of footpaths/walks & local amenities, home delivery services. There is a good information folder in the cottage. The popular historic town of Wotton-Under-edge, is just 30 minutes walk down through Coombe and then along a stream into Wotton. Wotton provides everything you need. There is a medium sized co op, Small Tesco, chemist & (by car just outside wotton) a good local farm shop which has a broad selection of local produce. There are several pubs within walking distance. Wotton U E has its own small cinema, swimming pool & charming coffee shops in an old fashioned high street. Newark Park , National trust, a spectacular early Renaissance hunting lodge with tea room (now open) is one of the many attractions that can be walked to from the cottage. Nearby historic towns include Bath, Cirencester, Bristol and Tetbury. World renowned gardens within easy reach are Hidcote, kiftsgate, Misserden Park, Painswick Rococco gardens, Rodmarton Manor and also Highgrove for which advanced booking required. Westonbirt arboretum, Berkley castle and Slimbridge wildfowl trust are all within ten miles .Several pubs are within walking distance. Also very near to the cottage is Cotswold Edge golf course with stunning views .Horse trials at Badminton and Gatcombe park, polo at Cirencester and Beaufort polo club are all set in beautiful grounds and are very popular with our guests . Set in the heart of the cotswolds, miles of walks from the door and just five minutes walk from the Cotswold way this is the perfect destination for hikers and sightseers . At the heart of a network of fabulous walks and with a village close by you could spend your entire stay without using the car. We are 45 minutes from Bristol airport and 35 minutes from Kemble and Bristol mainline train stations.There is a limited bus service in Wotton our local town.
