This is a picturesque, peaceful spot, steeped in history. Superb for activities like angling, bird watching, walking, cycling, kayaking and relaxing Located on a island with close neighbours, the house offers a private relaxing stay for up to 4 guests. There is a separate Shepherd's Hut and Yurt adjacent to the house, with the opportunity to combine all three properties on the two sites (accommodating up to 8 guests in total) - Availability upon request. The full house, back garden, outside dining area and two parking spaces in the front garden. Secure key code access to the property, to allow you to check in at a time convenient to yourself. We have a member of the team living within 15 minutes drive of the property and I will be available to answer queries prior to and during your stay via telephone. This is an exceptionally beautiful location, surrounded by water, nature and the outdoors. From the house you can view many elegant canal, river and railway structures. A number of which are on the National Heritage List for England and are designated Grade II* listed buildings including the Dutton Viaduct which was designed by George Stevenson and John Locke and was the first railway viaduct outside of London. The house is on the Weaver Way, a 40 mile-long walking route. There are further fantastic walks and cycle opportunities in the area. You can launch canoes and kayak's within 50m of the house. It is an outstanding location for bird watching with many sightings of rare birds including a Black Kite, with over 70 different bird types spotted. Locally you can visit the Woodland Trust Dutton Park Farm Nature Park and the spectacular Delamere Forest. Manchester, Liverpool are within easy reach. For kids, Chester Zoo is approximately 20 minutes' drive and Gulliver's World Theme Park is nearby. For shoppers, Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet and Chester City Centre are a short drive. Cheshire is full of superb restaurants and pubs. There is great pub The Leigh Arms at the end of the road, with superb hospitality and al fresco riverside dining - we highly recommend. Access via vehicle recommended. We are situated 1.25 miles along a tarmacked bridleway which runs alongside the river. The property is easily accessible by car. We are 2 miles from Acton Bridge train station. With many major stations within a 10 mile radius. We are 5 miles from the M56 Motorway. A 30 minute drive from Manchester International Airport and Liverpool John Lennon Airport. There is a local bus network. Taxi's are available.
