This bright and modern old miners cottage is a self contained home which includes 3 bedrooms and a practical bathroom on the first floor. Meanwhile the ground floor contains a kitchen and a large living/dining area with lots of light. The garden includes a lock up area for 6 bikes, where padlocks can be added as well as a place to sit to have a drink and relax. WIFI is FREE! We are perfectly located for Bike Park Wales, Brecon Beacons, Merthyr Rising, etc. The old miners cottage is a self contained home which includes 3 bedrooms and a practical bathroom on the first floor. The garden includes a lock up area for 6 bikes, where padlocks can be added, some are provided. In the garden there is a place to sit to have a drink and relax, barbecue, fire pit and washing line. Our place is about 0.4 miles away from bike park Wales. We are approximately 20 minutes by car from the Brecon Beacons and 40 minutes from Cardiff. The house has 3 bedrooms All rooms have single beds. 2 of the bedrooms have 2 single beds. The 3rd bedroom has bunkbeds. There is a car park directly next to the property for parking cars. Also permit free street parking. Guests will be met at the door with a key to the home and a brief explanation of where essentials are. If the guest needs help or has any issues then they will be able to phone or knock our door. We will also be able to supply them with information regarding the surrounding areas. Also extensive knowledge of the Bike Park, Brecon Beacons and more attractions and hidden gems. The Old Miners Cottage is situated in the small quiet village of Abercanaid built in the 1850’s, with easy access to the Taff Trail and the A470. The Taff Trail spans the length from Cardiff to Brecon. The village has a well stocked shop as well as 3 pubs. If those don’t take your fancy Table Table is a 4 minute walk away, along with a Co-operative and much more. The cottage is located within close proximity to Merthyr Tydfil, once the Iron capital of the world, and has direct links to the train station and bus stop. Abercanaid is a 40 minute drive to Cardiff and 15 minutes to the Brecon Beacons. A bus stop is situated just outside the back garden, as well as a train station 4 minutes walk away. There is also a main bus stop near the train station which will take you to: Cardiff; Pontypridd; Brecon; Abergavenny; Tredegar. We have provided a safe on the property which is free to use when you are staying at the Old Miners Cottage. Although the cottage is rented as a whole, price is determined based on how many guests are staying (max. 6). We do check to see how many people are staying as violation regarding the incorrect amount of guests is cause for being evicted immediately with no refunds.
