This is the perfect place to enjoy a mix of the countryside whilst having easy access into the city. Perfect for those traveling for work and wanting something more than a hotel room. 15% discount on stays for 1 week, 35% discount for 4 week stays and a massive 50% off for 8 week stays! **NO CLEANING FEE** Cleaned to airbnb COVID measures. **Perfect for siz nations Rugby.. stay outside the city so you can catch a train/drive to the game and explore the countryside also 😊** The Studio is a small space with a kitchenette area that has a fridge, microwave/oven with hob on top, and a kettle. I have supplied all plates, cutlery & necessities for cooking. There is a folding table for you to enjoy meals, whilst leaving you the option to fold it away and have more space. Tea and coffee are supplied. Breakfast supplies are provided for your stay which will vary but may include cereal, toast, croissants, preservatives, or yogurt. If you would like to upgrade your breakfast I offer a breakfast box for £15, which will include some of the following: local farmers sausages, bacon, eggs, freshly baked bread, beans, tomatoes, luxury teas, and cafetière coffee. A vegetarian breakfast box can be ordered instead. (Please note not all of the items listed are included. you will have a good variety but each box may vary slightly). Celebration boxes can also be purchased prior to your stay if you are with us for a special occasion, These may include prosecco, luxury chocolates, savory nibbles, etc and cost £20. If you wish to order any of the boxes above please state this when booking so that I can assure they are prepared for your stay, a separate payment for these will be required before you check-in. Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand wash, anti-bac all provided for your convenience. The TV is freeview with basic channels. Although the studio boasts a shared garden, during your stay you will have it completely to yourselves. The area is quiet and you will love sitting out in the garden with a glass of wine watching the sunset over the mountain. Please read more about the location and the beautiful areas surrounding the accommodation below by the map There is a double drive shared by the main house and the Airbnb. 1 parking space will be free for your to use, however if you require 2 spaces please inform me before your stay and I will make them available to you. I am easily available however I will give you your space to check-in etc, just contact me if you need anything at all. Risca is a lovely little neighbourhood in South Wales, 15minutes outside of Newport. If you are lucky to get talking to some locals here I am sure you will find some friends for life. The high street has plenty of food options, boutique shops, post office and supermarkets for all of your needs. There are a number of lovely local ran cafes and pubs around and recommendations will be given in your welcome pack when you arrive. The accomodation itself is situated 2minutes from the base of Twmbarlwm mountain for an epic hike, you can also drive up halfway to the car park if fancying something a little easier. Machen mountain which you have great views of from the garden can also be accessed on foot from the accommodation. You are looking at around a 2.5-3hour hard walk, or you can also drive to a car park 5 minutes from the house and just climb the mountain by itself making your walk slightly shorter. Just around the corner from the accommodation is the beautiful Brecon and Monmouthshire canal (less than a 5-minute walk). Here you can head for miles in either direction with beautiful spots along the way. Within 10 minutes drive you have the lovely Cwmcarn scenic drive which has lovely walks, a lake, cafe, information center, and the famous bike park Wales. You can also drive to this car park for a different route of climbing Twmbarlwm mountain and other surrounding hills. Risca train station is a 10 minute walk from the studio where you can get direct trains to Cardiff in 25mintues. To drive to Cardiff it takes 30minutes. *(PERFECT RUGBY AUTUMN INTERNATIONALS AND SIX NATIONS RUGBY ACCOMMODATION)* You can reach the Brecon Beacons national park in 35minutes by car. Of course depending on where you are heading within the national park, I would allow (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) minutes if heading over to the other side. The Brecon Beacons itself has a world of hiking, mountain climbs, waterfalls and adventures for you to explore. South Wales has some beautiful coastline which you can reach with a 30 minutes drive. You can drive for as long as you wish along the beautiful coastline all the way to Pembrokeshire national park (The furthest point, taking you around 2 hours from the property). As you may know, Wales is labeled Castle country. There are a number of Castles and beautiful houses to explore when visiting, again these will all be listed in your welcome pack upon arrival making your stay as stress-free as possible. So you will have plenty of exploring to do during your wonderful stay, with lots of great tips from someone who has spent a long time enjoying exploring them. There is a double drive as part of the main house (which is separate from the airbnb accommodation). You are free to use this drive during your stay. There will always be 1 parking space available, however, if you require 2 vehicle spaces during your stay please let me know and you will have the entire drive to yourselves for the duration of your stay. There is a bus stop right at the end of the street with many routes available, and Risca train station a 5 minute walk away where you can catch a direct 20minute train into Cardiff which is great if you would love to have a couple of drinks whilst on your trip to visit the city. These trains also stop off in other cute towns to visit during your stay and there are connections available to Bristol and other cities if needed.
