Set in a quite village 4miles from Fakenham in north Norfolk and 14miles from the coast noted for its areas of natural beauty and wildlife. The city of Norwich is 30miles down the road. The village is a lovely quite place to stay in the centre of North Norfolk between Norwich and Kings Lynn and 14 miles from coast. Local amenities are in abundance in Fakenham just 4 miles away. There isn't any public transport in the village so it cycling, by foot or car to get in and out of the village. There are many buses to Norwich from Fakenham (4 miles away) that run hourly. Fakenham, for a small town is full of amenities, coffee shops, independant grocers as well as Tesco, Morrison's and Lidl, and on every Thursday it is a true market town. The north coast is beautiful with it's rich landscapes with big skies, wildlife, including seals and wild birds, and stunning coastal villages. On route to the coast you will pass through some old villages like Little Walsingham, Burnham Market, Wells Next to the Sea and Holt to name a few, all with wonderful shops and scenery. To the South is another market town Swafham. Markets are on Saturdays, and this town has a Waitrose and Tescos. Returning from Swafham is the village of Castle Acre with its ancient castle and abbey. From the house there a number of circular walks that can include a pub or two.
