It's strategic location, on the boarder of Umbria and Lazio, and just an hour and a half from both Florence and Rome provides for limitless travel possibilities. At the same time, its peaceful and relaxing atmosphere makes Camporsevoli always a joy to return to (or never leave!) after a long day of sightseeing. Casa del Neri (250 m2) has an exclusive outdoor area, furnished with deckchairs and tables in the shade of a large linden tree, perfect for relaxing, and a BBQ and large wooden table for outdoor cooking and dining. There are four comfortable bedrooms, two on each floor each with its own bathroom, which can sleep up to eight people. The kitchen is complete with all the essentials such as a four burner stovetop, electric oven, microwave and dishwasher. The house is fully equipped with wifi and the shared washing machine is located in the far rear of the house, away from sight and sound. Upon request, we can also provide all the essentials for hosting small children or babies and provide ramps for wheelchair accessibility. Casa del Neri is complete with its own private outdoor space within the hamlet, providing guests with complete privacy. At the same time, the house is nestled amidst other rental properties and public spaces such as the bar and pool to meet and greet other guests. The pool is just a few minutes’ walk, at the end of a splendid cypress lined path, which makes it extremely quiet and if you have children, far from any danger. Just below the pool, there is a pool house completed with a bathroom and spacious changing room – where you can leave bathing suits and towels – and an honesty bar with refrigerator. Just up the way, ‘The Corner’ honesty bar is open all day, offering made-to-order espresso, snacks, refreshments, local wine and our own olive oil. Enjoy its amenities, including a book exchange library, games and local guides while lounging on the bar’s outdoor shaded couch. Camporsevoli was build just below the mountain of Cetona. There are direct roads and foot trails that lead up to the memorable Cross atop the mountain, looking of the Valdichiana, perfect for a picnic. We live in Camporsevoli during the summer months and are always available to meet and greet you upon your arrival, help with any organization and trip planning and to help with any unforeseen problems that may arise. Valentina is a founding partner of One Step Closer, a company based in Florence, that has distinguished itself during its many years of activity for its professional tour and activity organization in Tuscany and throughout Italy. Valentina is also an art historian, has collaborated with the Education Department of Florentine Museums, and is an official tour guide of Florence. Camporsevoli is the ideal base location to travel from, located halfway between Rom and Florence and within a short drive of countless important and idyllic towns and small cities worth visiting. You need go no furhter than Cetona, San Casciano dei Bagni, Sarteano e Citta della Pieve, a mere 20 minutes drive from Camporsevoli, to enjoy some of the best views of Valdichiana and the Val d'Orcia while lingering over a cappuccino or stopping for a pre-dinner aperitif. For day trips or longer visits, consider Orvieto, Perugia, Cortona, Assisi, Montepulciano, Montalcino, all of which are just one hour away. For those who wish to meander through the Tuscan countryside, enjoy a slightly longer trip just over an hour to Siena or Arezzo. To really take advantage your trip, you will need a car because there is not public transportation between Camporsevoli and Chiusi-Chianciano Terme, which is the closest train station. We recommend that you rent a car upon arriving to Italy which allows you to soak in the Italian countryside as you drive to Camporsevoli. If, however, you prefer the train, you may take the train to Chiusi, 25 minutes from Camporsevoli, and rent a car directly from there. During your stay, you may like to travel via train to some of the larger cities such as Florence or Rome to avoid parking and traffic. You may leave your car at the station and pick it up directly upon your return without any hassle. At Camporsevoli, we are pleased – upon request – to set up cooking lessons to learn recipes of the local cuisine. Dive into a homemade pasta making class or take a trip to our local butcher, where you will find one of the best supplier of the famous Chianina beef. If you are more interested in drinking rather than eating, we can also organise comparative wine tastings to hone your palate and the knowledge of enology. Are you interested in another type of art such as painting, photography, writing, or cinema? Do you want to enjoy a vacation while learning more about an author or a director you adore? Have you always wanted to write, and cannot think of a better place than the Tuscan countryside to begin? Here at Camporsevoli, through Il Magazzino, you will find all the contacts and suggestions to make your dreams come true. While you are busy with your activities – whether it be relaxing in the pool or taking a tour or a photography course – we can also organize babysitting for your children. Even before you arrive, we are happy to give advice on how to better organize the days you spend in our houses. Some activities – such as guided tours, museums tickets reservations or exclusive experiences – are better taken care of in advance, especially during the busiest seasons. However, if you prefer to arrive and decide what to do once you get here, we will equally be at your disposal to help figure out where to go, when and what is worth seeing. Outdoor sports offer perspective that are otherwise difficult to find and help to rediscover a reality of life and movement that we now tend to forget. A horse ride amid the crete of Val d'Orcia, a bike ride along the reclaimed land path between Chiusi and Arezzo, a walk to the Cross of Mount Cetona with a picnic, wild boar hunting in a private reserve, a boat ride on Lake Trasimeno or Lake Bolsena, far from the chaos of the city, whether it be large or small. But also immersing yourself in the underground aqueducts of Città della Pieve, rafting in the Marmore Falls, driving a Vespa between Montepulciano and Pienza, or riding up a mule path on a mountain bike. San Casciano dei Bagni you can swim in the ancient pools, or reach the Fonteverde Centre for an outstanding five star spa. The Bagni di San Filippo with its hot stream and its spectacular white encrusted cascades are an ideal destination on a cloudy afternoon. Bagno Vignoni, a bit further away, is on the road to Montalcino with its central pool dating back to the 1500s and the loggia of Saint Catherine will take your breath away. Camporsevoli can accommodate up to more than 40 guests. It has a consecrated church for marriages celebrated by our parish priest (who speaks English), and endless corners to celebrate non-Catholic marriages. The reception room in the main villa can accommodate up to 60 people seated, with the garden in front where – if necessary with a canopy – can seat up to 250. Finally, the more than 200 hectares of land, with woods and private parks, offer the vastest choices for organizing the most wonderful moment of your life.
