Large glass doors open onto the patio where you can enjoy alfresco dining. There is a spacious open plan living space with kitchen, dining and TV area. Upstairs is a separate sitting room overlooking the gardens and lake and a bedroom with ensuite shower room. You can wander the grounds which include woodland and Briggle Beck, seating areas, formal gardens and an abundance of wildlife. There is also a tennis court and if you fancy a row across the lake this can be arranged. Supermarkets in Penrith will deliver and delicious take away meals can be collected from nearby Langwathby. There are many local pubs and attractions including the Settle to Carlisle Railway, steamer boat trips, castles and the fabulous lake district all on your doorstep. Linden Farm House is set in the Eden Valley, known for its lush green countryside, traditional towns, sandstone villages. To the South are the Howgill fells, a Wainright favourite. Linden Farm House is situated at the end of a short track, just outside the lovely village of Langwathby. Follow the track to the end and you will see the farm house, cobbled yard and sandstone barns. The Eden Valley offers fantastic landscapes and plenty of activities. There are many castles, places of historic interest and monuments, Castlerigg stone circle is a magical place and the lake district is on your doorstep. Langwathby is the nearest village with a great pub and the best cakes and bacon rolls we have ever tasted from Saddlebacks on the village green. You will be spoilt for choice, there is always something to do, that's if you can drag yourself away from Linden country estate! There is a train station at Langwathby for a trip on the famous Settle to Carlisle line. Penrith station is 5 miles away and Ullswater Lake is a 15 minute drive. Keswick and Kendal are around 30 minutes away by car. Whilst you can get on a bus or a train we would recommend a car to see the best of this area.
