Historic Stone House with Terraces
The old stone house (rustico) was renovated with care and love. Furniture and equipment are simple, but tasteful. The historic stone house is set in the old center of the small Ligurian village Ville San Sebastiano, amidst olive groves. The lovable house was carefully renovated in the style of the region. It almost resembles a tower, partly situated over an arch and with two terraces. It has two bedrooms, one with two single beds, a second one with a double bed. There is an extra bed for babies/infants. On the top floor there is a large living area for dining, with an annexed kitchen, a shaded terrace for eating, and an area for relaxing. From here a second terrace can be reached via a little outdoor staircase. It has a stunning view over the whole valley. Upon request a second house (right next door) may be available for rent, as it belongs to my brother. Both houses can, if the guests wish so, be joined through a door on one of the terraces. PS: Please note: There is no TV in the house! You will have access to all parts of the house. As I do not live in the region, we will not normally meet in person. The house is taken care of our neighbours and I will be available for questions by phone and e-mail. Ville San Sebastiano is a small village in the maritime Alps, off the coastal town of Imperia. It belongs to Borgomaro, a slightly bigger village with a bar, a pizzeria, a restaurant and shops. There, you can swim in the river Maro, or you drive about 20-30 min to one of the beaches on the lively coast. Imperia Oneglia is a pleasantly normal coastal town, Imperia Porto Maurizio is slightly more touristic. Attractions include whale and dolphin watching tours, countless medieval villages in the back country, or the famous towns and cities on the coast (Genova, Albenga, Alassio San Remo, Monaco, Nice etc. are all within an hours drive from Imperia). The quiet roads in the mountains are perfect for walking and mountain biking. And the food is delicious! The nearest airport is Nice, then Genova and Milano. The nearest train station is Imperia. There are buses to the village from Imperia, but you are advised to come by car to be more flexible for bathing and day trips.
