The apartment is a little gem, set in a large and elegant condominium park and stunning views of Lake Lugano. The apartment is located at Albogasio in the town of Valsolda (7 km from Lugano and 20 km from Lake of Como), in an elegant residential complex with wide garden and parking. Lovely view of the lake and surrounding mountains from the terrace of the living room and the master bedroom. The apartment has a separate entrance, large living room with sofa bed and furnished terrace with outdoor table for eating enjoying the landscape, kitchen, master bedroom, bedroom with two single beds and private parking. Guests have access to the apartment with private entrance, private parking in the private condominium area and will have access to the whole condominium gardens with green areas and beautiful rose garden. The house is in sunny and enchanting Valsolda, the first Italian city after the Gandria customs that marks the border with Switzerland, at 7 km from Lugano. The apartment is part of an exclusive complex built inside the palace Affaitati park which, still present, was designed in 1700 by Isidoro Affaitati who projected, among other things, the Royal Palace of Warsaw. The whole garden is available to guests. The municipality of Valsolda consists of 10 villages: Oria, Albogasio (where the house), Castello, San Mamete, Loggio, Drano, Puria, Dasio, Cressogno and Santa Margherita (reachable only by boat). Antonio Fogazzaro had in Valsolda his residence resort and wrote his novel "Piccolo Mondo Antico", describing in great detail the charm that still denotes this place. Albogasio, where I situated the holyday house, overlooking the lake and is characterized by unspoiled nature and the wide panoramic view. Ideal location for those who enjoy sunbathing on the lake, hiking and walks in the villages. From Albogasio you can visit by walking Castello, the ancient medieval village (where you can also visit the house museum of the artist Paolo Pagani) and at several nature trails. A few hundred meters from the apartment there is Villa Fogazzaro, available for visits by appointment. The nearby village of San Mamete offers shops, restaurants, public garden overlooking the lake with a playground and a public beach, complete with a free children's pool. In the neighboring municipality of Porlezza there are supermarkets, bars, shops, fully equipped beach. Valsolda is only 20 km from Menaggio, on Lake Como, overlooked by beautiful old villas and botanical parks. The nearby Lugano, only 7 km, offers, among other things: a wonderful walk on the lake, a large calendar of events in summer period, public parks, museums (including the house museum of the writer Hermann Hesse), specialty shops and luxury boutiques along its traditional streets. Among its features is the funicular to Monte San Salvatore which offers a spectacular view of the lake and surrounding areas. We should also mention the theme park of Switzerland in Miniature. It 'impossible to describe in one page the beauty and uniqueness of this place. Only the rose garden located in the residential garden is breathtaking, not to mention the spectacular views stretching from the lake, mountains and sky.
