Situated in the historical village of Alcanede, next to the Natural Park of Mountain range of Aire and Candeeiros, MEIO is the ideal place to stay and enjoy nature with your group or family. The house has 7 double en suite rooms, 14 beds, 10 bathroomss. The house has elevator, garden, yoga circle, terrace, and a wooden swimming pool to relax and refresh in sunny days. Situated in Alcanede ´s Village, in Santarém, the house, with more than 200 years of history, is in the same family for 5 generations. With 650 square meters, Meio´s house is designed to receive people with reduce mobility, offers seven double en suite rooms, equipped kitchen, dining room, a living room with stone fireplace and Portuguese tiles, an old wine press converted into a living room, reading corners, outdoor spaces, an elevator, a terrace, green spaces designed for leisure, a hammock to take a nap and a wooden swimming pool in the garden to relax and refresh in sunny days. The property that is crossed by a small river, whose bridge gives access to four hectares of land with an old orchard and a hill, is ideal for hiking, picnics or biking. By crossing the private small bridge you will find a yoga circle, perfect to meditate or for the yoga practice. Free access to the area of accommodation and common spaces, gardens, terrace, swimming pool, yoga circle and orchard. Conditioned and restricted access (through previous contact and other conditions) to the trainning area, room for training/events/retreats, equipped with tables, chairs, projector and 3 meters electric screen. If you want privacy we can just hand you the key. But we also organize and provide local living, retreats and learning experiences. We can show the best of the culture of our region, the flavours and traditions of the centre of Portugal. We can provide meals and transport groups across the region. A castle, a football field, a Roman Bridge and a beach volleyball court; a Natural Park whit caves with the possibility of descending more than 50 metres deep and factories of hundreds of tea varieties; dinosaur footprints, blue quarries and natural river pools. Alcanede is in the centre of Portugal, a country with an increasing capacity to surprise the world. Up to 50 kms, come and discover the sea that gave birth to the most famous wave in the world, in Nazaré; feel the call of the paths of faith, visiting the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, the Holy Miracle in Santarém, or crossing one of the oldest tracks of the routes of Santiago de Compostela; become part of the history by visiting the Batalha Monastery and the Chocolate Village, Óbidos. Imagine that you restore your energy with some of Santarém conventual sweets; think of ending a day in the best tavern of the region and proposing a toast with “ginginha de Óbidos” in a chocolate cup; antecipate a tour of snacks and help yourself with cheese, sausages and homemade bread that you can also learn to make; add a tablespoon of organic honey from the heath and make a tea with the plants that grew in the land of herbalists.
