Fair Havens is a 45 x 20ft wide lodge & has an outstanding view from the private deck area. A tranquil oasis away from the hustle & bustle, but only a 10 min drive to the nearest shops. Spacious accommodation - the lounge/dining area is 20ft wide. The lodge will be warm on arrival and hot tub ready for use if requested. A bath towel is provided for each guest, hand towels in the bathroom and en-suite as well as some outdoor towels. Freshly laundered bedding is also provided. Hot water available at all times There are two hairdryers in the lodge Washing up liquid and dish washer tablets are provided along with some other kitchen essentials, including disinfectant. Hoover, iron, ironing table, clothes pegs, clothes airer & floor mop provided. Hand soap and toilet paper is also provided as a welcome pack but please remember this is a self- catering lodge so extra requirements will be your responsibility. Basic internet connection is provided free of charge. Freeview TV service. Remember to bring your Amazon stick if you have one. ........ and your binoculars! 😄 Use of the hot tub is included in the price. No extra charges for gas and electric No extra charge for basic Internet connection No cleaning charge I live close by. Contact details will be left in the lodge and guests may contact me any time on the Airbnb app. You will be surrounded by beautiful countryside, walks and cycle trails, as well as a great range of eating places and coffee shops. Don’t forget to bring your binoculars! For those of you with children, please be aware that there is no designated play area on site. However there is a nice play park ten minutes away in Banchory and a couple of smaller ones nearby.... but not in walking distance. The village of Banchory is about a ten minute drive. It is a bustling village with shops to browse in as well as a Tesco, Morrison’s and Co-op. Lots to see and do in the area. Lots of choice when it comes to eating out. Public transport is available in Banchory with buses travelling regularly to Aboyne, Ballater and Braemar in one direction, Aberdeen and Stonehaven to the east. Aberdeen and it’s airport is approximately 30 minutes from the lodge. A drive over the amazing Cairn o’ Mount will take you on to the A96 south to Dundee. Or make a day of it and visit the beautiful Moray Firth coast where there’s every chance of seeing seals and dolphins. Ask me about it! If you are interested in castles, there are 300 Castles in Aberdeenshire alone. Balmoral Castle? Crathes Castle? Dunnotar Castle? The list goes on ........ Interested in Horse Riding or Hacking? Rescue horse Centre? Golf? Climbing? Walking? Fishing? Cycle trails? Water sports? Steam train? Sports Centre? Archery? Clay pigeon shooting? Why not visit the pedestrian walk-way at the Bridge over the river Feugh, just three miles away. At the right time of year you can see the salmon head up-river. I am unable to accommodate seven/eight adults for this reason. PLEASE NOTE: I REQUIRE PREVIOUS NOTIFICATION IF USE OF THE HOT TUB IS REQUIRED SO THAT IT CAN BE MADE READY FOR USE ON ARRIVAL. USE OF THE HOT TUB AFTER 11pm IS PROHIBITED BY SITE MANAGEMENT. Fake tan is not permitted in the hot tub as neither your tan nor the water in the hot tub will survive! It is essential that, before entering the tub, guests shower & rinse. Body lotions, deodorants, hair products etc will all cause the hot tub to become cloudy. Long hair should be tied up. Swimsuits etc should just be rinsed out after use to avoid contamination from soaps or laundry products. Please do not sit, stand or lie on the lid of the hot tub or allow children to play on it as there is no support in the middle and the heat shield/lid is easily cracked. Any such damages must be reimbursed. Children must be supervised at all times. Absolutely no eating in the hot tub No glassware permitted on the deck or in the hot tub. Plastic wine glasses and stainless steel beakers are provided. Adding soap to the hot tub in any form is strictly prohibited as it will render the hot tub unusable and can cause damage to the workings. An extra charge of £50 will be levied for inconvenience caused. PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO PROVISION OR ROOM FOR A FULL-SIZED COT. GUESTS MAY BRING A TRAVEL COT. A High chair is provided. 4pm arrival is normally requested but an earlier arrival time may be possible if the lodge is ready. Please just ask. Departure time is 10am so that the lodge can be serviced in good time for next guests.
