Hill House

Hill House is the home from home dog-friendly self catering cottage for family holidays in the Gower peninsula. It provides comfortable and spacious accommodation for the extended family and the extensive gardens are ideal for entertaining children. The surrounding landscape is rural with uninterrupted estuary views across open fields and salt marsh. You will find that the cottage provides a relaxing and tranquil retreat from the hurly-burly of everyday life. Hill House has been in our family for over 100 years. It was rebuilt by one of our great, great grandfathers from the ruins of a 17th century cottage (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) It was renovated by us in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) and has been let as a self catering holiday cottage since (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) The cottage's four light and airy bedrooms sleep up to nine adults. The large, fully equipped farmhouse style kitchen has two tables that seat six and four. There is enough space to bring the two tables together to form one large tables. There are two sitting rooms, a family bathrooms and a separate shower room. The combination of a downstairs bedroom and adjacent shower room makes it ideal for family members with minor mobility issues. The whole cottage and grounds. The extensive well kept grounds contains a large secluded south facing lawn, sun terrace and two other large open lawned areas. Children love playing on the lawns and the large lawn is particularly suited to ball and racket games. Guests can help themselves to apples, hazelnuts and blackberries from the garden when in season. The sun terrace has a large teak dining set and a charcoal barbecue. In conclusion, there is nothing better in the evening than relaxing on the terrace watching the renowned Gower sunsets. We meet guests on arrival to show them round Hill House and explain the housekeeping arrangements. If guests are new to the area we spend some time with them giving detailed information on the beauty spots, beaches and local amenities. Tourist information leaflets are provided together with a free map of the Swansea and Gower section of the Wales Coast Path. As the lane leading to Hill House forms part of the Swansea and Gower section of the Wales coast path many of the local walks can be started from outside Hill House. It's totally free to download and use and it doesn't contain any advertisements or in app purchases. All bedding and bed linen are provided and the beds are made up prior to the arrival 0f guests. Two towels are provided for each guest. If required we can provide an additional cot, highchair and stair gate. A maximum of two well behaved pets (dogs) are allowed by prior arrangement. Dogs are not to be left unattended on the property. Only leave your dog off the lead if it is safe to do so and when there are no animals grazing in adjacent fields or on common land. There are dog walking restrictions on the beach at Port Eynon, Horton and all of the beaches from Swansea bay to Caswell. The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances, utensils, crockery and cutlery. There are two flat screen LED televisions in the sitting rooms and there a is free, unlimited, super fast broadband (30 MBps) Wi-Fi connection.
