Whole Flat, Central Location, Seaside Town

I’ll be honest the place is basic and I mean that by Greek standards. But if you are looking for a cheap clean quiet, proper 1 bedroom apartment (not a bed sit or converted hotel room with open plan kitchen) that is air conditioned, has a hot shower, a nice view of the hinterland and is right in the middle of town and walking distance to everything you need for a great Greek getaway, then we’d love to have you stay. You have the whole flat to yourself. We are usually in Xylokastro 3 times a year, other times we are always only a phone call away. The town of Xylokastro is a great holiday destination. We love it because it has such variety. You have the beaches of course (it is Greece after all) but there is the pine forest preserve, the town square where the local children play every night, the port, it has a fun fair in the summer for the under 10’s a vibrant local night club for the 16-30’s and a sea-side cafe set for everyone else. It is safe and very family friendly. We have been bringing our kids on holiday here for 6 years now from the age of 2. For the mobile and adventurous Kalavrita is only an hour and a half away and we have been skiing there for the last 3 years. (That is right, Greece has skiing!) Everything is in walking distance. The kitchen is very basic. There is no stove or conventional oven. There is a microwave and a fridge. We encourage eating out, or you can get a most meat dishes cooked for you at the local grill for very little (2-7 eros depending on what you order). Then make yourself a salad with locally sourced olives and feta!
