The accommodation is situated on the Taff Trail which is a well known cycle route in Merthyr Tydfil. We are just opposite Merthyr RFC. We are approximately 2 miles from The Bike Park Wales and approx. 7 miles from Pen y Fan and the Brecon Beacons. Zip World Tower is a 15 minute drive. we are in walking distance of Cyfarthfa Castle, Cyfarthfa Retail Park, Rhydycar Leisure Park, Trago Mills and Merthyr Tydfil bus & train station. Merthyr Tydfil, one of the most historically fascinating and beautiful regions of Wales is ideally placed between Brecon Beacons National Park and Cardiff the Welsh capital. With a fifth of the County Borough lying within the Brecon Beacons National Park Merthyr Tydfil boasts some dramatic and breathtaking scenery. As one of the towns forming the Heads of the Valleys, Merthyr Tydfil is rich in culture, landscape and scenery. Once the Iron capital of the world, Merthyr Tydfil breathes life into its history with attractions such as Cyfarthfa Park, which is home to Cyfarthfa Castle Museum & Art Gallery, Joseph Parry's Cottage and Brecon Mountain Railway to name but a few. For those interested in the 'great outdoors' there are many activities available from guided walks along the famous Taff Trail, downhill mountain biking at BikePark Wales, to Climbing in the Rock UK Summit Centre. The flat is a space underneath the house. We live above the flat but we do not hear any noise and guests have their own space. Guests have sole occupancy of the flat. We live in a quiet area on the Taff Trail opposite Merthyr Tydfil Rugby Football ground. From Ty Wern a 5 minute walk will take you to Merthyr town centre and Merthyr bus/train station. A 10 minute walk to Rhydycar Leisure Park for leisure centre, Vue Cinema and food outlets. We are also only a 10 minute walk to Cyfarthfa Retail Park and 15 minute walk to Cyfarthfa Castle and lake. We are within cycling distance of Bike Park Wales and a 15 minute drive to Pen y Fan. Trago Mills is a short drive. 15 minute drive to Zip World Tower, Rhigos. Cardiff our capital city is a 30 minute drive away on the A470. There is public transport running to Merthyr Tydfil town centre just outside our house although the town centre is only a 5 minute walk away. Regular buses and trains from Merthyr Tydfil to Cardiff. £30 per person per night, minimum of £120 per night.
