The Cotswold Holiday Home.
Innisfree was built in 1907 from local Cotswold stone, recently extended and renovated to a high standard with modern contemporary fittings making for a very warm and comfortable holiday home. Bedrooms have been fitted with new beds for flexible accommodation of singles and superking size doubles. A single child’s bed and travel cot may be added to the master suite. A double garage provides parking for two cars. The house has large enclosed gardens with outside furniture and BBQ fireplace. Innisfree is adjoined to our own home and is not suitable for Hen or Stag parties. It has access to the Cotswold AONB from the doorstep. The Cotswold Way is a few hundred meters away. This is a NO smoking property. It is ideal for couples or larger families with up to seven guests. One dog is extremely welcome, we just ask to be informed at the time of booking so that we can get all his/her treats ready for arrival. We also ask that fifteen pounds be left on the dinning table before check out just to cover the extra cleaning costs. Guests have access to the large private enclosed gardens, laid mainly to lawns and patio areas with outside seating and a large solid fuel BBQ fire place. A child’s (up to 9 yrs) play frame and tower are available. We like to meet and welcome guest on arrival and answer any local questions you may have. Guide books, maps and help with directions to attractions is always available. The Cotswold Holiday Home is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with instant access to the Cotswolds, its many villages and pubs to explore and tourist attractions. Two local pubs within 0.4 and 0.8 miles provide all day cooking. Mr G Lewis, Newsagent 0.6 miles. Locally, Bishops Cleeve has pubs, wine bar, 2 super markets, takeaway food from Indian, Chinese, Subway, Costa, Pizza and Fish and Chips. The larger town of Cheltenham hosts, the Cheltenham Gold Cup Festival in March annually, along with Jazz and Literature Festival and many independent specialist stores with all major high street brands. Other attractions include; The Bugatti Hill Climb at Prescott is only 3 miles away. GWR Steam Railway at Toddington 6 miles. (Now running between Broadway and Prestbury Park). Gloucester dry ski slope 10 miles. Gloucester Docks and Waterways museum. 8 miles. Leisure Centre (Leisureatcheltenham) 3 miles away. Cotswold Farm Park (Adams Farm). 8 miles. Bourton On The Water - Birdland and Model Village 20 miles. Cheltenham Lido (Outdoor heated Victorian Pools). Cleeve Hill Golf Course. 1 mile. The Malvern Hills and Forest of Dean for further walking and day trips. Cheltenham Everyman Theatre. It is possible to get to our home by using train to Cheltenham Spa and then the local frequent bus service (Stagecoach E) to Woodmancote Stores. From here it is a short 3/4mile but uphill walk to the property. An alternative bus route provided by Pulhams Coaches (The W) runs from the Royal Well Coach Station, Cheltenham over Cleeve Hill and will drop close by if you request the driver stops at Post Office Lane. Then walk down hill for 1/4 mile. A car is ideal for getting about the wider area and can be kept off road in the open double garages. Cycling is very popular and safe storage can be provided. Staverton Airport is 5 miles away and serviced by small private aircraft. Details of taxi and private hire can be supplied on request and several car hire companies will deliver a car to the property. We want your stay to be special and will always try to provide a comfortable warm and welcoming stay whilst respecting your privacy. The Cotswold Holiday Home is suitable for a romantic weekend away for two or larger family gathering.
