Cosy rural retreat with hot tub and indoor pool
Nestled in the stunning Wye Valley, May Hill View barn offers a relaxing and fun break. Whilst at May Hill View barn you can enjoy our indoor heated pool (march to September) and outdoor hot tub. You can also use the garden and paddock for a quiet afternoon or a game of rounders. May Hill View barn is also in easy reach of many great days out including the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (5 mins) and the Forest of Dean (20 mins). May Hill View is a self-contained converted barn, and you will have the entire place you yourself. It has two bedrooms and sleeps four. May Hill View is adjacent to our main house, Lower Ryelands. The accommodation is private and has its own entrance. Cosy and warm, and with all the usual amenities. The accommodation is all on the same floor and consists of a kitchen area, lounge, bathroom first bedroom and master bedroom. The kitchen area has an undercounter fridge with small freezer compartment, a two ring electric hob, a kettle, coffee machine, toaster and a microwave that also works as an oven. The first bedroom has two single beds and a chest of drawers. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, chest of drawers and bedside tables. There is also free wi-fi, a TV, various board games and maps of the area. There is one shower in the barn and two in the pool house. Bedding and towels are included. Access to May Hill View is via an outside stairway (see Checking-in Details). There is space for two cars on the private driveway. Bike storage and cleaning facilities are also available. There are no street lights by the barn (prepare for spectacular skies on clear nights), and so there are motion-activated security lights. You will find a torch in the holiday let, but we recommend bringing your own if you plan to take the short stroll up to the Moody Cow. May Hill View comprises the upper floor of the annex building adjacent to our main house. The pool house, hot tub and garden are behind the annex. Please be aware that due to the external nature of the staircase, it is regrettable that the barn is unsuited to those with reduced mobility. The barn is old, and the conversation fits around the existing features. As you can see in the photos, the rooms are not enormous and there are areas of low headroo If we are unable to greet you personally on arrival, access to the barn a key will be available in the key safe. There is space for one or two vehicles on the driveway. Please pull forward to the garage door. Our family home is adjacent to the accomodation and our children sometimes like to say hello to guests but we try to give you privacy during your stay. We are always available on the phone and our numbers are in the information available within the accomodation. May Hill View is situated in the village of Upton Bishop, Herefordshire. The village of Upton Bishop comprises six distinct settlements. The barn is located in Crow Hill, which is also home to the Moody Cow pub, book and seed exchange, and the Millennium Hall. Also within the village is St John the Baptist Church, which dates from the 12th Century AD and runs regular church services. The easiest way to get around is by car but there is also a bus a short walk up the road which travels between Gloucester and Ross on Wye. The surrounding countryside is well loved by cyclists. The pool is solar thermal heated and therefore available from March until September.
