A private and very quiet double bedroom within an elegant Victorian family home. Stripped floor boards and sea glimpses. Exclusive use of adjacent sitting room with TV/DVD player and coffee/tea making facilities. Recently installed private shower room with WC on the floor below. Also supplied is a delightful continental breakfast in a private dining room. Situated close to the Needles and a five minute walk from Totland Bay, where you can enjoy the best sunsets on the Island. Peaceful and very private rooms on the top floor of a beautiful Victorian home in the West Wight. The rooms are recently redecorated and have a lovely holiday feel. The double bedroom has one velux and two sash windows making this a very bright and airy room. A tiled shower room and wc are located on the floor below. Coffee and tea making facilities are available in the adjacent sitting room. There is an adjacent twin bedroom which can also be booked if you want to accommodate up to four people. The guests have exclusive use of their rooms including a private sitting room on the top floor. However, guests will also be able to enjoy our fabulous lawned gardens. A selection of pastries/cereals/toast/juice is available for breakfast in our stunning dining room. Also plenty of storage space for bicycles, surf boards, camping equipment or any other gear you may have. The kitchen is not for use unless special arrangements have been made prior to arrival. This is our home and we will always be around to ensure you enjoy your stay with us and make the very most of all the facilities and activities the Island has to offer. Our delightful Victorian home is situated on the outskirts of Totland Bay in the West Wight. The beach at Totland Bay is a five minute walk away with a lovely coastal walk round to the popular sandy beaches of Colwell Bay. The Needles is only a 3 minute drive away. Alternatively, there is a stunning 25 minute walk to the Needles over Headon Warren. The sandy beaches and surfing paradise of Compton Bay is also a short drive away. Depending on what time of year you visit, you can enjoy fabulous sunsets while dining at The Waterfront overlooking Totland Bay (5 minute walk from the house) or The Hut overlooking Colwell Bay (20 minute walk from the house). Other favourite places to eat are The Red Lion in Freshwater or The Highdown Inn. There is also access via local footpaths and bridleways to miles of surrounding downland and coastal walks and cycling routes where you can take in the stunning scenery across the West Wight. Freshwater village with its range of shops, services and amenities is approx one mile away as is the harbour town of Yarmouth with its range of pubs and restaurants, excellent sailing facilities and mainland ferry terminal. Off street parking available. Very easy access to a regular bus service that takes you to Freshwater, Yarmouth and on to Newport. Bicycles can be hired from Wight Cycle Hire in Yarmouth -- they will deliver the bikes to the house if you make arrangements in advance. We have three gorgeous and inquisitive cats so you may need to close your door if you don't want a visitor!
