A traditional period apartment in an Italian farm house in the extraordinary Abruzzese countryside. This is arguably the most stunning and little known region in Italy and the greenest region in Europe. It offers a spectrum of outdoor activities, including trekking, horse-back riding, rock climbing, mountaineering, whitewater rafting, kite surfing, wind surfing, snowshoeing and skiing; boasting stunning beaches and majestic mountains just over an hour apart. Our location is central to both. Our family live a mindful plant-based lifestyle and as such we are able to organize a range of retreat style services on and off site for those interested in meditation, yoga, massage, Ayurvedic treatments and plant-based cooking lessons. If you are interested please let us know in advance. The apartment itself has it's own delightful separate outdoor spaces including a garden, patio and courtyard. As we live on the property we are normally available at all times for any questions or help you may need. If for any reason we are not going to be around we will let you know in advance. We are 5 minutes from the historic town of Penne, which is a classic and beautiful medieval town with countless restaurants, pizzerias and bars. In fact we are located close to several fantastic examples of medieval Italian towns and villages, including Atri, Loreto Aprutino, Farindola and Pianella to name only a handful. We are also close to the Trabocchi coast, the Apennine Mountains and not too far from Rome itself! In Italy you are free to walk where you like, but in the hot months it is advisable to have a car. Public transport is limited, but bus timetables will be made available.
