Lavender Cottage is a quaint little stone cottage situated in the grounds of 300 year old Sandiford Farm. With spectacular views of the Dorset countryside and decorated with french flair it's not only a walkers paradise but also just 20 mins drive from the Jurassic Coastline. If you're looking for a base to unwind and explore with a popular pub on your doorstep offering great food and drinks then look no further, this is the place for you. The cottage is situated in a village with access to both a shop, park and pub on your doorstep. Perfect for two people in single beds set apart, or joined together to make a large double bed. There is also a sleeper couch in the living area that could accommodate an additional person comfortably. The property also offers the use of a summer house overlooking a large pond which houses an array of wildlife including ducks and carp. With fabulous views and an abundance of walks right from your door it's the perfect venue to marry a touch of the countryside with the convenience of local amenities. Lavender Cottage has been recently renovated and comprises of 3 rooms. The first being the open plan living area comprising of a newly fitted kitchen with sleeper sofa and other informal seating. The kitchen is well equipped with an under mounted ceramic sink, fridge/freezer, ceramic hob, multi-functional cooker, microwave and is complete with high end slab tech work tops. Two comfortable bar stools give access to a more social breakfast bar counter. The informal seating area has access to TV with BT Box, wifi, books, board games and several puzzles. The second room is the bedroom which comprises of 2 single beds joined together to make a very large double with two side tables and large closet providing ample hanging space. The third is a large shower room and offers toilet, wash basin, heated towel rail and a very good size shower enclosure. The entire cottage is very cool in the summer and has underfloor heating in the winter for a more cosy feel. Behind both front and back doors hooks have been provided for coats, hats and scarves and there is ample floor space to house those muddy or sandy shoes. Laundry package upon request. Guests are more than welcome to spend time in the summer house and around the pond for a more secluded/quiet feel which can be accessed at the rear of the 1 acre property. The guest suite cottage is independent to the house but I'm usually around if you need anything. Crewkerne Station is located just 5 minutes drive from Lavender Cottage. You can either catch a taxi from there or if given ample notice I can always collect you. Please note that the bedroom will be set up as a double bed unless single beds are requested to be set apart.
