Ros cottage was lovingly created and built by its only owner twenty years ago with a design that makes you believe its been there forever. Nestled atop a hillside and overlooking the Irish sea and Carlingford Lough, this is a haven for family , or individuals who want to get away from “ the madding crowd “ and live as one with nature. This family home is within two miles of the medieval village of Carlingford and the home of some of the finest restaurants and bars on the North East coast. Enjoy the excellent quality food and service with the famous locally grown Carlingford oysters washed down with locally brewed beers. Take the local fifteen minute ferry ride and you will arrive at the Royal County Down golf club. Should you prefer things to be a little less hectic , take one of the many hiking trails just outside your back door, or retire to the sun room to read and relax. Alternatively , just meander through the beautifully matured Ros Cottage garden all lovingly planted by the owner. This is a very unique and beautiful home with an abundance of character. It is extremely well appointed with full open plan kitchen, dining room, sun room , utility room and three bedrooms. The main sitting room features a floor to "cathedral roof " stone fireplace which draws not just warmth , but great conversations . Visit Ros Cottage once and you will immediately want to come back. The main attraction to Ros Cottage are the views. They are breathtakingly beautiful. Nestled in the Cooley mountains this peaceful cottage is a place to come and relax, you will feel at home as soon as you arrive. The village is always bustling, so you have the best of both worlds! There are taxis and you can also hire bikes. However I would suggest hiring a car if you would like to explore more than just carlingford during your stay
