Rowan Cottage
A character 2 bedroom cottage in the heart of Eyam, with views of the surrounding countryside. Formerly a mill, parts of the cottage date back to the 1700’s. A perfect base for those wishing to explore the Peak District, with walks and a wealth of pubs and cafes easily accessible from the front door. The cottage is full of character with exposed stone walls, an open fire and a some low ceilings (be prepared to duck every now and again). The 2 bedrooms provide flexible sleeping arrangements with a twin bedroom and a king sized bed which can be split into 2 small singles upon request. The cottage also has a fully equiped kitchen/diner and cosy living space. Perfect for both summer and winter breaks. Outdoor space is available at the rear of the property. There is no off road parking, but parking is generally easy to find on the road outside the property. Access to the property is via a key safe. I’m available via email in advance of your stay and by phone during your stay. Eyam is a fantastic village, with a village shop, 2 tea rooms and a pub within 1 minutes walk and a great restaurant/bar and pizza restaurant within 5 minutes walk. Eyam is known as the plague village, and has a wealth of history which can be explored at both the museum and information boards throughout the village. Dogs are welcome in the cottage, but should not be left unsupervised in the cottage at any time during your stay. The majority of the pubs and restaurants in the village itself are dog friendly. Whilst children are welcome in the cottage, it is worth noting that there are a number of small staircases in the property.
